Can't really tell if it's good value with five days left to run, but for a bit of fun, let's have a "guess the winning bid" sweepstake.
First prize is an evening with Kris. Second prize is two evenings with Kris.
I'll say... ooh... um... er... £4,620.

I was running it today to power the vacuum cleaner although my plans to use it in place of the boat engine didn't work out as it uses too much petrol (a gallon lasts about three hours if that and I suspected it might be thirsty). My mate got the sound insulation, not sure where from, it's like a honeycomb foam with silver foil on each side, you can sort of see it in the pic.

Thanks for the reply. Yes petrol generators can be exspensive to run. I fitted a diesel generator in my engine room, but it's noisy, I think the engine room is acting as a sound board so I've thought of placing some sound absorbing stuff around it just to deaden the sound.

Probably a good idea although of course if it's well sound-insulated then there's the problem of getting enough cooling air to it and the waste heat away. I've found a bit of rubber matting to put under my generator, when I can be arsed, that should help deaden the noise.

that engine is really a fake made from polyfoam, with a couple of Indian boys hidden inside.
