I gave a friends little one (boy of 2 & 1/2) a finger paint set along with a xylophone the made a noise when he pulled it along, along with the noise it made when he "played" it. I was his favorite "auntie", it took a wee while for my friend Jackie to see the funny side, I did remind her that I at least had the sanity to make sure the finger paints were washable

Small children? I’d suggest very sharp knives and plenty of TNT in a snow globe.
Just joking!
Though polonium dust is nice at this time of year.

Cheers for the suggestions, going to brave the Christmas madness and head into town looking for a kids shop. You think Mothercare will stock these?

Bloody hell, town was a nightmare, I've never seen it so busy. I have acquired suitable gifts, a very loud 'Mr. Tumble truck' for the lad, and some 'lol doll' shit for the girl which apparently she is heavily obsessed with at the moment. I will now be avoiding all town centres and retail parks until this madness ends.

I do have to do some food shopping for the week ahead, and I'll be doing that at 0600 tomorrow when Morrison's opens, then I'm back to the boat and I won't be going anywhere near Coventry or Rugby again until next weekend.

Some folk are genetically programmed from birth not to think so, this is nature's way of dissuading them from reproducing in order to weed out inferior DNA and is known as natural selection, or more commonly on internet forums as "Darwinism".

There's nothing more boring than looking at photos of other peoples' kids, or photos of other peoples' holidays - all blurred and thumbs over the lens for starters.

No, it is because the world is not yet ready for too much genius.

No, it is because the world is not yet ready for too much genius. But surely when the world is ready for such genius, it won't be there because it will have become extinct a long time ago?
