Jingle bells! Batman smells, Robin flew away! I think there are correlations between names and behaviour. But is it because your parents were thick and gave you a name like 'Peaches' and you are thick because you have the same genes, or are you really clever but somehow are obliged to follow the destiny inflicted upon you by receiving such a name? Any boy baby - call him Sid and what will become of him? Call him Sebastian and will his path in life be different? I've wondered that ...or whether its our perceptions that someone named Sid cannot be a banker or lawyer...or maybe its a class thing... Education and achievements plus success easier if middle class and above and names chosen at birth may reflect parents status and ideals...though why go for the likes of Fifi Trixibel, Peaches etc goodness knows as these kids have to live with them. One of my sons chose a old name derived from latin meaning fire..Ignacy, for his son(his partners Polish) ....it will be interesting to see his journey..

Me neither. But my kids' posts show up on my Facebook timeline and I recently noticed that when anybody asks for suggestions for a name for (say) a rescue donkey or an aardvark or a gecko or somesuch, that 99% of the suggestions from their peers are "Jeff". I had to ask them why myself. We’re seeing Jeff’s parents at Hogmanay, I’ll try to remember to ask them why they named him such that 40 years later, his name would become associated with comedy following a truly awful film and a truly awful actor (Channing Tatum). They really ought to have known better. Thousands vote for Canadian bus company to change its name... to Jeff. vancouverisland.ctvnews.ca/thousands-say-tofino-bus-company-should-change-its-name-to-jeff-1.3766040
