Just been to pick my mail up from my postal address and have been unfortunate enough to receive a 'Round Robin' from an ex(distant) work colleague who I haven't spoke to for years.
What a load of complete and utter pretentious bullshit. I mean, WTF should anyone think that their list of pretend friends (who's names were printed on the headerππ) would even be remotely interested in their boring list of so called 'materialistic achievements' from the last year when they haven't even spoke to them for upwards of two years?
If you are one of those people who sends out 'Round Robins' I can whole-heartedly tell you that everyone thinks you're a cockwomble and a thundercunt and that nobody gives a fuck that you have been fortunate enough to spend time in your new orangeryπ this summer or that your son, his slutty wife and his step kids from 2 different fathers have now moved to a large 3bed semi outside Manchester and have joined the ranks of the commuter. ππ
FFS...I'd sooner smear dog excrement into my eyes then ever have the misfortune of reading one of those again!
rant over!

Make up a spoof one to send back? I expect you'd get plenty of suggestions on here.

I did think about sending a reply of my achievements last year to him but realise I hadn't actually achieved anything new! Continue to work hard, Continue to sleep when not doing above, Continue going out on the piss when not doing either of above, Continue collapsing in a hedge after doing above, Continue spending Sunday's washing my soiled pants after doing both of above! π

What do you mean by a Round Robin? Is it just the crappy note that many send out at this time of year?

Yes normally a note inside their '50 for Β£2' Aldi Christmas cards, outlining the sender & their family's personal achievements, sent out predominantly to boost their egos and inform any fucker that's ever had the misfortune of meeting them of how successful they have been! Fuckin Orangery....jeez!!

Ok, Round Robin letters mean something different to me, but before I go on - I hate the shite modern letters. Had never heard the phrase used to describe the modern usage. Some of my wife's family used to send Round Robin letters back in the days of wars and the British Empire (these letters are now housed in a museum). They still contained fairly banal correspondence (important news was sent separately). They were never used to 'stroke egos' just a way of keeping in touch with people across the world with fairly minor events in your life. They were not sent to coincide with christmas and sometimes a reply would be written on the same paper, forwarded on to others, and eventually find it's way back to the originator.
