Anyway, I see the personal attacks have started and I know from previous experience with the Brexit thread, that anyone who dares to have a differing opinion, is written off as a fool. Therefore il refrain from further discussion of this topic, on here anyway. Read more: thunderboat.boards.net/thread/5885/seas-warmer-global-warming-real?page=15#ixzz6D6PuYmoZ

Just to clarify, not an announcement of a flounce but just saying Ianali intended not to discuss Brexit any more on Thunderboat, knowing that it would be a waste of time trying to enlighten the knuckle-dragging neanderthals. Sometimes it's best just to walk away. "The Parliament Bureau, for example, has blocked reforms that would ensure MEPs must report on how they spend their so-called General Expenditure Allowance of around β¬4,400 a month β public money that is intended to cover office management costs and other expenses, and which MEPs receive as a lump sum every month, with no obligation to track how it is put to use." "The message Parliament is sending EU citizens is clear: We expect transparency and accountability from everyone else, but refuse to be bound by the same rules." www.politico.eu/article/eu-parliament-is-failing-on-transparency-public-spending-rules/

Agreed - though every time I read the title of this thread I cringe β¦ just a little. ETA - agreed with dogless note to self - I must learn to quote those to whom I'm replying

Exactly where we have been. They call it the museum and itβs pretty cool down there. Rubicon dive school is first class, I would recommend to anyone that they try it.

This topic came to mind with reference to the whole Covid bollocks.
There are a few people on here who have vanished over time. Some we know died and some we just don't know. And maybe we never will.
I met @nemesis aka nemesis on a couple of occasions and got on well with him. He disappeared a little while ago and I can't get him on the phone.
Member link on the forum says he was logging in anonymously so it's not possible to see when he was last on here.
I wonder if he is brown bread.
It's a funny old world this virtual one.
My kids know I am on here regularly so if I suddenly die they are instructed to post a "what a bloody relief" thread.
