Sometimes I miss not having children.
But with the new diet I'm simply not allowed them, and anyway I always struggled to eat a whole one.

You can have mine if you like - she's a boater (first time afloat at six weeks old for a holiday ) mostly well behaved. Says please and thank you at mostly the right time, toilet trained (mostly) and reasonable table manners (mostly) Free to a good boating home, will come with a wardrobe (possibly X3 of clothes) and a van full of toys, arts and crafts supplies and several bookcases worth of books. I know that you are a very kind person gazza, and willing to help when-and if possible, but in this case I'm preety sure that you'll miss your well behaving dwarf too much to let her go for more than 5 minutes. She must be a very good and lovely little girl, they are very rare these days, so please do look well after her, and don't ever think about giving her to an old guy like me again. Thanks a lot for your very (much too) kind offer anyway. Peter.

They do say that whether you have children or not, you will regret it. I have no regrets having had three. Many of the members of my family say that too. When I visit them, I really think that they must be blind and deaf, but that's likely because I'm too used to my peace and quiet. Peter.

I dont regret having children but it has been extremely tough particularly with one of mine. I have spent last weekend sitting in the hospital by the side of one of my boys...he's now out but shouldn't be...his choice...and i wait for the next crises which will not be long in coming....as rolling stone gathers moss, momentum gathers...
As a parent you can only try to do your best, sadly sometimes that is just never enough.

If it wasn't for my parents and a couple of good friends (+ a bit of professional help) I'd now be sleeping in doorways or dead.

One of the best thing about having kids is they bring you grand kids.
Being a grandparent is a bit like being a parent but when they become in any way disagreeable you hand them back to someone else.

I will...I don't think you can ever give up if you love your kids...just sometimes the trudge through treacle is just much more difficult..
