I do not appreciate the 'cleverness' of mind manipulating bullies. I do not appreciate put me downs by 'clever' articulate people. I do not like cheats, liars, scam artists, bullies, those who shout to get their own way. As for me...I'm not keen the way I give way on most things..that I'm not tough enough to stand up to people..that I accept the aggro that's thrown at me..that I try not to hurt any ones feelings.. I'd like to be tougher..not worry so much about peoples feelings..yet mostly I like the me I am so I'll just carry on trying to avoid nasty people I like that post very much Patty, it needed more than just an ordinary thumbs up

I was going to 'like' magnetman's post but my train was in a tunnel. Is that a Hitchcockian euphemism? In which case swmbo wont mind.

Is that a Hitchcockian euphemism? In which case swmbo wont mind. Morley Tunnel. Deep beneath t'Pennines. Between Morley station and Batley station. Water tank filled, toilet emptied, rubbish taken to bin, back cover thawing in shower, cruising deck cleared of snow... we're not lazy! Back cover on this evening, bikes inside... then we're ready for an early departure tomorrow. Last trip to Tesco's soon to buy (made in the UK) sweets for the kids on my bus. Have a good day trip, don't forget to pack the Beast in your case and take it back home with you.

I don't like people who post purely and simply to get their post count up.

Everyone can see through it straight away.

So it seems completely pointless.

It’s a Scottishism. When I first came to Scotland in 1980, I would of course say “please may I have...” but now I’ve been here for 38 years I too say “... can I get...”. Sorry, but when in Rome etc. It is a bit like carryout vs takeaway. I try to remember to use the appropriate words when in Englandshire but sometimes forget! I have been 17 years exile in England, and I still ask for a fish supper, to be met with blank looks every time. Fish supper? Ah, you mean a Chippy tea.
