Well luck, or a complete porky, i guess. That's very rude. Is it? Well I am afraid I refuse to believe that somebody has never had to brake sharply in all those years. It's simply impossible.

I love to read posts by driving experts who then say they've had several prangs. I've been driving for 40 years, not even a scrape, hard braking maybe half a dozen times.

To not have an accident in 40 years of driving is astounding good fortune. I have been rear ended twice, once stopped at a roundabout the other time stopped at a zebra crossing. I have been hit (whilst stationary) head on by a skidding double decker. I have been hit head on by a stolen 3 litre Capri who came round a bend on the wrong side of the road. I have twice Tboned cars that have pulled out of a side road in front of me. For several years I drove in central London a Band's van that looked like a refugee from a demolition derby ..... I don't think there was a straight panel on it, It seemed to be a magnet for people to hit while it was in car parks. However I never had trouble with it driving in London .... I think people looked at it and thought "This guy just doesn't give a toss" and kept very well out of my way ....... even mini cabs gave way to me

I've had one at fault accident when I was 18. I drive a xsara Picasso it doesn't go fast enough to crash.

I've been banned for speeding in the past and had 15 points on my license last year, got 2 lots of full NCB tho for both cars and bikes and no accidents involving other people ( have spun a few cars into ditches and had serious my fault bike crashes thoππ) That bus wasn't going too fast!

Come on hardly worth mentioning. So the mini at about 5mph went past a stationary vehicle and then veered across the road. Hardly making him or her a nugget. Actually that's about right but not the descriptions used earlier. Conditions were that bad then. 20 miles an hour over the brow of a hill into a downhill bit in those conditions including a blizzard. Doesn't seem sensible to me for a professional driver. Seems others on here agree. Well some may do, however not every body does, not that that matters of course. That just makes the ones who don't wrong too.Β The Mini driver is still a nugget btw. They attempted a manoeuvre that was unsafe, you must be a crap driver if you can't see that. I can't see how this is relevant to my driving. I never crashed or slid or wheelspun in the snow, unless intended of course. I have an exlemporary driving record. Except for a big mistake and a moment of madness which btw was nothing to do with my ability. I have to, my dad would kill me with him being an advanced driving instructor for many years. He was quite proud when I passed my test without a single fault. Started teaching me at about 8. In a brand new escort it was a D reg. I was driving double decker buses and Mk one Bedford lorries by the time I was 12, Well around an airfield at least. Sadly never in the snowπ I did enjoy what you said about the mini driver overtaking being unsafe with no in coming traffic so slowly but can't see that the bus may of been too fast for the conditions but I won't hold it against you. You will note I've still not blamed her for the incident. I love a good debate. Kept me happy for a bit I quite happy to have a difference of opinion.

To be fair. I beleive all drivers of single vehicle accidents should be considered for prosecution for driving without due care and attention. If they were would they of crashed.

Yup I was on 9 points and got 6 points added for not disclosing who was driving my car ( due to not receiving notice from police, my fault for being on my boat and getting no mail) I went court, pleaded extreme hardship if I got banned, not being able to do my job on public transport /unsociable hours etc and not being able to get to see my daughters without transport. I was hammered with the fine and ended up with 15 points for two months....now just left with this six points for another 18 months!!
my other 9 points were all got driving my restricted to 62mph works vanππ
I was banned for 6months 29 years ago for doing 64 in a 30 zone at 5 in the morning going to work on a Suzuki GSXR 750π

Quite often a prosecutor will accept a guilty plea for speeding and drop the failing to name. They would rather convict for the underlying offence. The only time I've heard it not work was when a cocky idiot thought he knew better and tried to Do The deal in court. They found him guilty for both offences. But I presume your taking more care now. They will only accept a hardship plea if it's hardship to others. They don't care about you.

I'm not an expert on driving as I have never driven a commercial vehicle other than small vans. Passed my test first time no faults 14fh August 1991 (17y.o.). Been driving for personal use since then never had a ticket or contacted any other vehicle other than when parking. And no accidents by myself either. Not a high mileage car user which makes a difference.

I took the chap who was actually driving to court and presented him as the guilty speeder...they weren't interested, its past the deadline for disclosure and I got found guilty..my pal walked out of court with nothing!!... π
I don't subscribe to all this speeding costs live bullshit I'm afraid...it's bad driving that cause accidents, as demonstrated by that numbnut mini driver in OP not someone doing 70 in a sixty zone!
