Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the odd post coming out in an strange format ? I just posted using a quote, in the normal fashion, but it came out with an enormous space between the quote and my text and between my text and the signature. I am convinced that I did not do anything unusual and what is more, going into edit does not either show the gaps nor permit me to alter them. The other odd format I have noticed is a vertical line of letters and then the text at the bottom Anybody know what gives ? or is it my system starting to become self aware and interfere

This was discussed a couple of weeks back, but still not sorted.
I guess like me you don't read every post on here.

I guess like me you don't read every post on here. thanks for that and you are right, at one time when the forum first started I used to read every word and comment in almost every thread ....... I felt that at that stage It needed all the content possible. Now however with over 100,000 posts under it's belt and it having become established, I'm content to just read what interests me and post when I feel like it. (Or when it's too damn cold to go out and I can't get motivated to do anything inside ) ps or like tonight when I can't sleep and have got up to make a cup of tea

There have always been strange anomalies in posting.
If quoting, and then writing text underneath, I have found that the cursor jumps into the quote whenever one types a letter I in lower case.
I have also just discovered that I cannot type a lower case I on it's own, it is capitalised immediately.
Weird.

i was simply showing that i can do it as i am clever i do it by typing I then space then back space (backwards delete) which corrects it to lower case. I do the same with my name andrew I always spell it with lower case a (MI5 training) which requires a backspace to undo the autocorrect for name capitalisation. I disagree with name capitalisation for personal freedom reasons. This is on an android phone.

I can't backspace on my Samsung. So auto capitalisation is the only way
Well i can do it if it's not the first word of a sentence. As I can pick the lowercase option on the autocorrect list but not for the first word, strangely.

Considering it's a free site, it works (usually) very well. I find it hard to fault the design of Thunderboat. Basic but clever. You quickly get what you want.

Neither myself nor the proboards support people can replicate the issue, and it can't be fixed until we know where it is coming from. Are you using Chrome desktop? Has this happened to anyone that isn't using Chrome desktop? It is most likely caused by a chrome extension or advert clashing with the post editor. When I click on one of the affected posts to edit it, I can see and remove the iframe thus fixing the post. Not sure why you can't see it.
