Oops, item 18 is pretty all-encompassing. So much for the concept of an unmoderated forum! I wonder who complained? Probably CRT, citing libel!
Edit: .... or not!

It has sparked from libelous comments made by foxy about an international aid agency. Interesting. Can’t imagine they have staff trawling forums looking for such stuff, but I wonder if they have some kind of search bot looking to match their name with some key words. Big brother is definitely watching.

They picked up on that...

So not a complaint direct from the Charity then. Which is a Phew! I think! I doubt that CaRT would have been interested in closing down what is for them a valuable source of potentially valuable material and insights into customer feelings. Not that they have not threatened to have websites with critical articles closed down before now [and sometimes succeeded in doing so], but discussion forums are a different thing. The furtherest they have gone in that direction, so far as I know, has been to verbally convey their disquiet to forum owners over content trend.

Sorry, by the Charity I meant the International Aid Agency, not CRT. I don’t really see CRT as a charity, more a QUANGO.

Foxy does get carried away with his cut and paste posts.
On the occasions he actually writes his own posts, they always seem more considered.

Maybe naughtyfox is in fact an undercover facebook operative attempting to bring down independent discussion forums and drive people towards fb. I bet the pay would be good

The ‘truth’ it would appear is a threat to some. If someone wants to shut a forum down, then using a charity as an excuse might seem a good idea. However history has shown what happens when you try to shut up free speech. What goes around, comes around.

Just a quick word as I'm at work. Nothing malevolent intended towards TB or its members. Had a thought about deleting stuff today. More later...

It's only ever been a matter of when. Like it or not the site owner carries an obligation to monitor and moderate content.
I seem to recall it was a reluctance to accept that that lead to this forum being set up and the founder members migrating to it.

This forum was set up as a result of a few members on CWF not liking the truth and banning members who they disagreed with. I’m guessing you are one of them.
