Anyone in the vicinity? There's a flotilla coming up from Manchester. Let's have a sweepstake on which one of them gets the Newton Heath Mattress wrapped round their prop.

Talking to a young couple bringing their first boat from Cheshire to Leeds yesterday, going to live aboard near Leeds. 3 different people had told them of your escapade. You are infamous sir! Perhaps the flotilla needs an armed guard, what you up to?

Where's the water going to come from? God will provide! I have thought that myself, 25 boats at once. I will have a chat with whoever, including the local banks man, one of the few knowledgeable ones left round here. You could come up from the east. Only a few miles, only 600ft.

They're not using the "New C&RT Logo" on the advertising poster then.

They're not using the "New C&RT Logo" on the advertising poster then. that's because they want people to know it's waterways orientated and not a darts competition

They're not using the "New C&RT Logo" on the advertising poster then. They are a bunch of local Morris men, do a rush cart that goes to an event in Littleborough on the Sunday. Not a lot of boating knowledge. Will mention the logo to them, or perhaps not... On the other hand they need water so have to show willing. I must not join another committee... I must not join......

Oh... but it's in July... not next Thursday. Hmmm..... and we should be somewhere around Chorley - Wigan - Manchester then. you are not to venture this way in your boat. You are bringer of floods and destruction in these parts. The gods will not let you pass lock 12.

They are a bunch of local Morris men, I hate Morris men. Last year, in the spirit of entente cordiale, or possibly elderflower cordial, a bunch of Breton dancers arrived, dressed in pristine red gold and white, velvet jackets, red shoes. Not at all like our local scruffy beery troupes. You might have appreciated them, being from Frenchland. A namby pamby lot. I demonstrated how I still have my bow fingers.

We shall be turning right at Waters Meet (Stretford) and zooming down to the Wolverhampton area. Shroppie for October & Christmas. OK, you scuttle off dahn sahf then. I'll give you a wave from the top of the hill. Watch out for boat stealing Rogers, oops see even my auto spell knows, I meant Rogues.
