I hope it does continue, I just thought it was a worthwhile discussion within the subject of Brexit.

For me the change in our security arrangements that will come with a Brexit including the movement of our border from Calais to Dover as a result of La Touquet mean we have a very real interest and need to understand the repercussions of our leaving the EU. It is also possible that we could be less involved with EU wide security arrangements and organisations, something which would impact negatively on our ability to predict and prevent such a terrorist attack on this country. We have our own radicalised psychopaths in this country nothing to say they wont link up with radicalised psychopaths from Europe or beyond is there? Essentially this looks as if it's a home grown 'terrorist' and whether we are in or out it won't make a jot of difference to the potential for that to happen. We managed to grow some of our own whilst members of the EU after all. The Internet and the mobile phone networks simply do not respect borders or membership of the EU. The potential for loss of information sharing is a risk I guess but given we share intelligence between non EU countries now why should that not continue? It does not look like a home grown terrorist at all! Initial reports suggest he is a Tunisian who moved to nice. Don't make little of what is becoming a serious threat to society. Ignorance, and looking to belittle what has happened is stupid.

It was just another 'indivudual case' - nothing to do with Islam. Nothing to see here... move along. Remember, criticism of Religion amounts to 'Hate Crime'. its only hate crime to those who seek to make it a hate crime, those with a vested interest in it being claimed to be a hate crime are the very ones who would use it to incite hatred. Most people just accept it as criticism.

And to think that some people make lots of noise in an attempt to allow more migrants and refugees, predominantly Muslims of course, to settle in Britain. No chance at all of any of these being radicalised and becoming terrorists eh

Clearly Europol is sadly a waste of time, the money should all go to interpol, instead of the poor imitation that Europol is!! As yet it hasnt foiled any of the recent attacks, so I for one dont think being part of the EU makes us any safer, its that stretch of water that does it. RIP the poor innocents murdered for know other reason that race hate!

I am belittling nothing, exactly what have I said that belittles anything, the only stupidity in this thread so far is your posr above. The fact is he was home grown, yes he may have originally been from another country but the reports I'm reading indicate he was radicalised since being in France. In addition I was responding to the issue as related to Brexit, I don't think Brexit makes the risk greater which is what I said, that is not belittling the point. If you think it does change the dynamic perhaps you should not have been such an enthusiastic Brexiter....

I'm guessing that at the heart of it is the fact that he didn't consider himself to be French, but rather an enemy of the French. I'd also guess that there are millions like him in France.

I used to think it was just a front, but I will have to accept its a rooted problem, and find the ignore button.

Latest reports seem to suggest it had nothing to do with religion at all, he was a mentally ill drug addict with psychosis issues. Lets hope if this is the case it is as widely publicised as the terrorist angle has been.

Not even a lone wolf, just a guy struggling with emotional problems and a psychiatric illness that he was being treated for. But dont let that get in the way of some scaremongering.
