I agree in principle but will there be any trees for sawdust, or people to shit, what with the right wing take over by ignorant masses currently afoot? I fucking hope Kris is wrong, I'll be 57 and the thought of buggering about with composting Loo's getting close to retirement makes me quite sad Gazza mate, I hate to dissolution you, but by the time you hit 57 the retirement age is likely to have hit 80..!!!😆😆😆

Wonder how much it costs to treat to remove harmful pathogens? Then there's the transport costs etc etc. But at least peeps aren't shitting in the streets as much, which reduces the cholera levels.

I can't be arsed to read the whole thread and I'm sure someone has mentioned it but the idea of a toilet that rocks does not appeal to me. I like to sit down, relax, think of england and get the job done. rocking would not be beneficial.

The treatment for pathogens is heat or extended time composting. So not much cost there, the participants are paying a monthly fee so that should cover transport. As you say the advantages of people not openly defecating are immense, not least of which seems to be the dignity.

Farmers over here regularly spread human shit over their fields today. It's treated, not raw, but it's still human poo that makes the potatoes grow.
