From the other side the armoured cars had EU signs on them..........................we now know which way the wind is blowing dont wehttps://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/747052/gilet-jaunes-paris-eu-flag-vehicles-riots-yellow-vests-protests And they want another 39 billion from the UK? This is where our money is going, into the armed services? To crush their own people? "But rather than bearing the French Tricolore flag, the vehicles bore the distinct starred EU flag, which critics have said is a sign an EU Army is drawing closer to existence. Furious Twitter users have also said it is a sign the bloc, which the UK voted to leave in 2016, is prepared to crush any dissent in any of its member states. One person commented: “The Euro flag disturbs me on vehicles”. Another wrote: “With the European Union flag on!!!” " (on the other hand - 'Furious Twitter users' - LOL)

Ideally the word "elite" needs to disappear from the language when talking about these individuals who make other peoples lives more and more uncomfortable.
---
elite /eɪˈliːt,ɪˈliːt/ noun 1. a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society.
---
Its the wrong word.

I think the elites, the establishment, should stop using the term 'populist' and its variants as it does; always with a negative undertone. Ordinary people, the masses, in a democracy, are more important than the leaders they elect so dear leaders, please stop spouting incendiary claptrap such as: "we must stop the march of populism"

Three 1,500-troop rapid reaction forces, directed by the EU's Council of Ministers, and designed to respond to security crises (means protecting the rich).Austrian Lieutenant General Wolfgang Wosolsobe is in command.

I think the problem with the EU, or those that run it, is that they really don't understand that quite a lot of people in Europe really don't like their organisation. These people are quite happy living in their individual countries, they don't feel the need to go to war with their neighbouring countries, nor do they feel the need to equalise themselves with these countries, be that in terms of culture, laws or wealth. I guess the bloated individuals that work for the EU's lack of understanding of this is understandable. After all, no characters have rocked up in high viz jackets, full of anger and started trashing EU parliament buildings with paving slabs. EU commissioners fully expensed luxury cars haven't been torched by those feeling aggrieved that they can only afford a week away in May these days when 10 years ago they used to be able to afford two weeks in August, just like everyone else.
Perhaps that's the problem. Maybe everyone should get a bit smart, leave national governments alone, team up, and let the EU itself know exactly what we think of it.

Now removed from the front page and hidden away on p5...
"funny how many articles there are on what MM had for breakfast and how few in comparison on these riots- I suspect they are limiting the coverage because they are frightened that unrest is contagious"
"I heard climate change described as a bunch of rich people deciding to save the world by taxing poor people, which pretty well sums it up."
"It's a French thing, they revolt over anything and have done ever since the French Revolution I can't see this happening in America"
"That's because the USA, like most western countries, have been worn down and dumbed down, trapped in an endless cycle of work, earn, spend, consume, repeat. Everyone is more interested in celebrities and reality television. All intended to distract and occupy the populace. Sadly, most of us would rather turn a blind eye, we'd rather have the latest gadget rather than standing up for the hard-fought freedoms gained by previous generations."

"Chaotic scenes at Manchester's Piccadilly station which is brought to a standstill after strike action leads to severe crowding as hundreds try to get home" "Action is expected to continue every Saturday until the end of the year" Northern Trains have a reduced service. The strikes are because Northern's German owner - Deutsche Bahn - wants to increase profit by getting rid of guards on trains. This endangers the passengers and puts an unwarranted responsibility on the drivers of guardless trains - who will attend to First Aid incidents on trains, who will check passengers aren't stuck between doors as trains move off? And where will the redundant guards go - on the dole? Thanks Germany!

"It’s actually quite heartening to go onto the Mail comments section about Brexit. Absolutely no commentator is fooled by the Mail’s new direction as ever so slightly right of the Guardian, courtesy of the new editor ordering previously “right wing” columnists to write pro-remain drivel."
"I’ve worked with many a mail reader and I don’t think some lefty editor changing the narrative is going to change their mind about ANYTHING…. and rightly so.
Tbh I don’t think a fucking firing squad would change their opinions. ….good on em. Fair play."
" I’ve never been on Twitter or Facebook but when I’m asked if I’m on either, I get immense pleasure from saying…
“Don’t be fucking stupid…it’s for children”….
Their faces are a picture to behold…. "

Regarding the summit in Poland the solution is simple: a combination of people having less children and consuming less. This won't happen of course, no government would propose a 'solution' for any individual country that would involve recession. Recession is a dirty word but unfortunately, it's what's required if this issue is to be addressed.
No doubt what will happen is some grand headlines will be concocted, just like Paris. Much back slapping will ensue as the politicians are declared the saviours of the planet. The suited and booted pricks will then fly first class back to their respective countries, forget all about the 'agreement' and get on with the real business of promoting yet more growth.

The riots in France definately got a lot less coverage this weekend. Its almost like the controlling intetests of the media don't want any other people getting ideas.

You'll be going on the march today, then, kris? Back in time for tea and to watch it on TV.
