Yea, Haynes manuals are fantastic, what would we do without them?

Sure there isnt anyone on here that hasnt benefitted from a well fingered Haynes workshop manual at some time! RIP Mr '‘Refitting is the reverse of removal’' 😔😢 Great guy but what a fantastic legacy he leaves

Apparently his family, who were at his bedside, knew that the end was near. They could tell by the look in his eye.

Actually, when I got home today from work, I said to the Witch that when we have a rental car in June (for a week whilst blacking the boat), if we go past your area we could say Hello. You seemed quite nice and normal to me. Car is for doing something whilst the first, then second blacking coats dry. Probably to Furness Vale anyway, to get spare parts for the boat - and bell ringing in Gargrave (perhaps)?

Great guy but what a fantastic legacy he leaves the heart of any diyer's garage. The only problem with Haynes manuals is that they seemed to cover the dismantling and re-assembly of brand new cars so they miss out the bit where you have to heat the nut up with a blowtorch for five minutes and then get a mate to stand on a length of scaffold tube slipped over a spanner while you larrup the fuck out of it with a lump hammer.

The one eyed monster isn't an absolute
