Every time I pass this bridge I take a photo ... got to be one of my favourites on the system. Bridge porn for those who are into that type of thing 😊 Rog Yes, a Skew Arch.

Fabulous piece of work but now disused ... not even as a footpath.
Yet only half a mile or so from ongoing HS2 works.
Bet they don't build anything so beautiful.

Rog Apparently it used to be called the One Boat, but then another boat came past so they had to rename it. Well that is what Mrs Overall told me anyway.

Got filled up with diesel by Mark today, £95 which was about what I was expecting. Slightly less maybe.
In for blacking at Charity Dock next Tuesday, will move the boat on Sunday as Charlie will be here and also one of the chaps at work who has visited the boat a couple of times (static visits) wants to come for a cruise so we'll run up to Hawkesbury and have a pint in the Greyhound.

Did six locks upstream in Dulcinea today. Ended up tied to the new No Mooring, Landing or Trespassing signs on the mooring where I found a dead man floating in the River about 20 yars ago.
Its cool they put the signs up as the mooring is now always available rather than being squatted. Being council the signs are Ultra Vires anyway but a handy mooring at the end of the day.
River still shifting but looks like it is generally slowing down now.
Odd thing about this mooring is my friend was moored here a few yars ago and there was a loud crunch noise and someone had their car flattened by a tree on the A308 which is about 50 yarrrds away and parallel to the River. Dead instantly. Exactly the same place I found the body but on the road not the River.
All rather wonderful I will move on tomorrow morning .

This is where I found the corpse all those yars ago. Oddly it is the only one I ever found but I suppose spending more time on the River now there will be another along soon. Oh the joys.

I first took a picture of this marvellous barge in 1991 . I Have been on it and it is very pleasant indeed. It looks exactly the same. Does not move much but was part of the Queen's Jubilee fleet on the River. Nice article. Too big for me I like small Boats but if I liked big barges this would be at the top of the list. Its a honey.

Enjoyed a walk along from Long Itchington on the Lias Line Greenway to meet up with the Offchurch Greenway we walked on Sunday. Easy under foot, lots of benches and we only saw one cyclist in the three hours we were walking. It's a brilliant local amenity operated by Sustrans. I'm sure some may think money should be spent elsewhere, but it's a lovely linear park anyway. Rog
