Hope you saw more than one metanoia ... for the obvious reason. Sun is definitely breaking through the clouds now ... going up to Armada Boats to spend some dosh, then turn and head back. On our way south by the weekend no doubt. Happy St George's day to you ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Rog

The moorings at Newbold ... empty ! Don't think we've ever seen them like that ๐ Rog You could call in at Tony's Trains at Hillmorton Locks on the way back and ask him about those bridges. Just tell him I sent you, he'll bend over backwards to help you (mostly, it must be said because of Sam working at Hornby Hobbies and occasionally letting slip the odd snippet of insider info when we call in )

I nearly died doing the recovery of the K2 but I survived. I wonder if my experience was a little less hair raising than the fellows who were in it when it got pinned and sunk and they ended up getting blue light emergency Boat out to rescue them having spent many dozens of minutes clinging to a fallen tree. Anyway all ok and one of the paddlers is coming tomorrow to collect the gear. It was relatively well wedged in It was particularly dodgy when the dinghy almost capsized and I was close to being decapitated by a dangerously aggressive piece of rope and a limb nearly got court in a branch. Thats not to mention the battery on the outboard running out at exactly the wrong moment and also these kayaks are bloody heavy when full of water ! I could have died a hundred times like Amy Winehouse.

Also there was the issue with the canada goose.
I can tell anyone who wants to know that if you are going to go for the eggs be prepared for body bombing.

Can't you claim salvage rights from their insurance company?
