I guess it'll see you out ππ» Rog I'm sure it will. I could probably never get it blacked again and it would still be afloat on the day they carry me out in a wooden box, but it's just nice to come and spend a few days with Pete and have a nose around Charity Dock.

It looks a fascinating place, if not the usual type of dock π

They are decorative rivets. What are those round things on your boat? Oh yes, lumps of rust. With all due respect I'll take Pete Gilbert's opinion over yours, thank you anyway. Pete Gilbertβs opinion about what?

And then you can put on your CV that you have been working with a charity - very good for virtue signalling.

Well tomorrow should see us back at Braunston on the GU and on the route to Rembrandt Gardens (subject to the weather).
We're looking forward to getting to Wilton locks and beyond as it's years since we've been that way.
Such fun π

Pete Gilbertβs opinion about what? The condition of my boat's hull. Fascinating, but I didnβt comment on the condition of your hull. I just commented on the globs of rust hanging off it.

Such fun π Rog Glad to hear someone is looking forward to the Buckby Flight - I think it's my least favourite on the whole system.

It may be interesting to see what the groundwater levels are like as there are places where the GU gets interesting with the various river fed sections. I'm guessing there will be drought and hosepipe bans in the next couple of months.

In other news it looks like a one day disposal hearing is going to be requested sometime in the next 6 months to decide the cash legacy question.
I was left Β£260 which was specifically described as going up with the RPI and if RPI is abolished then another inflation calculator must be used.
So since the death was December 2018 I should technically be due Β£349.
So it will be interesting.
x 1000. I would quite like that.
Its funny how Wills are public documents once they have been executed.

Do you think there will be a courtroom showdown you can strut away from with a sneering and derisive shout of "so long bitches"...

Do you think there will be a courtroom showdown you can strut away from with a sneering and derisive shout of "so long bitches"... Its all a bit surreal because my mother had a lot of trouble with the same person over money. She (mother) was persistent and won. My sisters, who were due cash but not as much as me, gave up ages ago. I feel a bit like 'this one is for mum'. All rather silly and unnecessary really given that the intentions of the testator are clear its just a clause was conveniently slipped in which he did not fully understand.

Well, if you say so. Eduardo Saverin, the co-founder of Facebook, was apparently duped into signing away his share of the company by Zuckerberg but later won a court case which contested the legality of it.

Just to finish the Hillmorton railway bridge 'thing' ... Round the corner towards the Royal Oak / Waterside pub the two lines are clearly different heights and a distance apart. Rog
