In other Boat news I was instructed by the younger offspring to bring one of the fleet out of mothballs.
It is the Little Blue Boat and had been under wraps for quite a while but she remembers it from when she was a bairn so I had to be responsible.

Its been under them there trees for two yars. The amount of cleaning I had to do made me think like 'I should have a well paid job' but the problem is I noticed when I was quite young that I could be taken for a ride and given a high pressure CEO job and steered clear. So that particular Boat is being reabsorbed into the fleet. Its an alright article will look better with the radome and MRL module.

Been a warm day, the mayflies are swarming and dropping dead in their thousands.

Well I had some delusions and odd dreams and also aural hallucinations last night. Very odd.
A similar thing happened last time I fell in the River. I wonder if it is a bug of some sort or it the River is full of drugs.

Its been a nice enough day but it looks like they are going to put me in the clink due to some mismanagement of affairs.
It'll be 9 yars! No early release.
I was shattered.

Gloriously glorious sunshine 🌞
A lovely day of mostly lounging and strolling.
Currently enjoying a cold beer in the New Inn beer garden.
Jane's bus pass should arrive 'poste restante' tomorrow at Wolverton, which is nice 😁
Canalplanac suggests 12 days at 3 hours a day, so we still have loads of time for loafing and exploring.
Hope everyone's enjoying the sun.

Been a gloriously sunny day here too. Starting to regret my decision to work through the Summer rather than going cruising. I knew I would as soon as the weather changed.
Going to Leyton, east London tomorrow, not the best place to take a truck.
Work asked me if I would start work on Sunday afternoon and do a night-out in the truck so I could tip in Devon at 08:00 Monday. I said no but I am thinking of changing my mind as it's probably worth £150 after stoppages and I want to buy £100's worth of paint. I used to do nights out in the truck all the time when I was running around mainland Europe, the longest trip away I ever did took 107 days or three-and-a-half months but since I moved onto the boat I've only done one, about five or six years ago.
Meanwhile, getting on with prepping the bow deck and roof for paintwork. Doing a little bit every evening. Paint should go on Saturday, also the coachline on one side.

Looks like another suitably glorious day.
Certainly very springlike but I think more rain is not far away.

These mornings of blue skies are rather splendid aren't they.
A walk into Wolverton for us and perhaps a visit to the Museum of Milton Keynes (which sounds like an oxymoron but we shall see).

ETA 16 degrees in the boat despite having no fire all week is jolly comfortable too 😁

We spent quite a lot of time in the MK area back in the day but I don't recall actually going to or even knowing there was a museum.
A good pub quiz question: How many roundabouts are there in Milton Keynes to the nearest 5?
Wolverton had a good tesco and I also had a vehicle at the time.
Are the old GU workboats Beverley and Ascot still there? They were painted red and yellow. It was over 20 yars ago when we were around there. Mother and I, our two Boats and three lurchers.
Silly but enjoyable life.

I shall keep an eye out for the pair Admiral. When anyone hears we're at Milton Keynes they groan and say how horrible the place is, all those roundabouts etc. However we find the reality by boat is very different ... a very green and pleasant corridor with parkland both sides, and the villages which MK 'swamped' are still apparent. Disused railways and park pathways, plus the towpath to walk on, makes the area jolly pleasant for walking around. Buses and trains are also fairly accessible too. Must admit we like the area 👍🏻 Rog
