Any idea of the model name? Skope S I had a look at the Skope S online and it is a very base model vape. The fact that they offer free replacement tank glasses on their website suggests to me that they are very prone to breakage. You'll save a lot of money giving up smoking and it's definitely worth spending a bit of money getting something a bit more upmarket, with adjustable wattage and voltage, a bigger and longer-lasting battery with a battery charge display. For not much over £30 you could get an Istick eleaf box mod and an Aspire K3 tank, that would give a much better experience and coils, spare glasses etc are widely available.

Much worse than dying, I have just heard that Jackie Harding is leaving Fazeley Mill Marina. Shame, she was great. Presumably some falling out with the new owners, but I don't have the details yet. That's a real shame ... the new owners can't possibly understand what a great, friendly, welcoming asset she is as their 'shop window' to passing customers. We've been back many times largely due to her customer service. Rog

Rog We’ll be down on Tuesday evening so we’ll get the goss, but the new lady from Mancetter marina / Rothen group calls herself Marina Manager, which is also what Jackie was. So maybe a conflict of power, but not a pay issue I think, because she was already on minimum wage. I had already said to Karthryn (“marina manager”) that Jackie was a great asset and she agreed at the time, so I think it will be Jackie getting pissed off rather being sacked.

Very cold this morning. Had to scrape ice off the car windows for the first time this year. Work finished for the week, Launderette tomorrow and lung scan on Sunday morning but that's all I've got planned for the weekend so far. Might go out for a ride on one or other of the bikes if the weather is ok. Might hoover the boat out if I can be bothered to get the generator running.

That wind over the fields must keep the temperature down overnight ... but it gives a terrific open view.
Did Slam Transport come up with the overtime and tax back ?

Did Slam Transport come up with the overtime and tax back ? Yes, I'm pleased to report that Slam Transport repaid the money I was stopped the previous month. So quite a good payday although Slam Transport's wages officer was on holiday for the last two weeks in August, meaning that she prepared wage slips mid-month before she went so I won't receive overtime payments for the last two weeks of August until the end of September. So this month's pay should be quite good too, especially as I also worked a Saturday this month. September is one of my two expensive months of the year, I bought the boat in September so things like mooring fees, mooring permit and insurance all fall due then. In fact, on Monday it will be ten years to the day since I motored out of Aqueduct Marina on her.

At 1716 hrs on 12 August 2024, Vince 'Shit-for-Brains' Coventon, also known by his own chosen internet name of 'Mr Stabby' - posted the following wilful lie on the internet :- "I live in a house in Kent where I pay Council Tax and am on the electoral register.
Shown below is a fairly recent photo, taken through one of the windows of Vince 'Shit-for-Brains' Coventon's genuine sole full-time residence, . . a borrowed uninsured narrow beam steel canalboat that, despite pretending to, he does NOT own, but has lived aboard full time at the same canalside farm moorings since some time in late 2014 :- The photo, which he took himself, is of Shit-for-Brains Coventon's car, . . and was certainly NOT taken from any window of the address (house) in Kent that he's currently, and has long been dishonestly declaring to all and sundry, including the DVLA and the Police, as his sole residence for the last 9(+) years, . . it was taken through one of the windows of the uninsured borrowed boat ('Desiree' - Index No 73371) that Shit-for-Brains falsely claims to own.
Fact is, that despite claiming to live in Kent, . . in a house for which he says he pays Council Tax, and is on the electoral register, . . this pathological liar lives permanently, full time, on board a boat that someone else owns, and which he moors and keeps for most of every year on the boat moorings at Colehurst Farm, Rugby, CV23 0PT, alongside the (North) Oxford Canal, close to the villages of Stretton-under-Fosse and Brinklow. *

Here's a lovely bit of YouTube footage. Antonivka is where the holding company which owns Desiree is based, I've ridden this railway many times. I love Ukraine, it's such a beautiful country, especially western Ukraine. I could quite happily live there in one of these little cottages.

!0 hour working day for me today. The greenhouse was a real bastard to glaze. It pays to start with a level base but no, a cowboy laid one that looked like Barmouth sand dunes. So each piece of glass either wouldn't fit in the frame or if it did, didn't have sufficient space around it to enable the location of very tight glazing beads. Each pane required manipulation of various ratchet straps located at strategic points around the structure. The movement is dynamic though. You move one bit, it moves something else. Anyway, eventually, managed to get all the major panes of glass in. Tomorrow we need to slide in some very heavy, very awkward roof vents and hope that the sliding door actually slides. It will be truly amazing if it does.

This may be so but I'll wait for it to break before putting more money into this ridiculous activity. And maybe when it breaks will be the sign from bog it's time to move on.

Whilst pretending that he works for a company called Slam Transport, with depots in Coventry, Darlington, Dunfermline, Gourock, and York, the truth is that he's employed by a specialist logistics company called Hi-Speed Services whose Midlands depot is on Swift Valley Industrial Estate in Rugby. For anyone understandably wanting to avoid this nutter, this 'selfie' photo of him waving a (Army rifle) bayonet around in public will be helpful in identifying him :-

John Cooper Clarke, when appearing on 'Desert Island Discs', was asked the standard castaway question 'What luxury item would you bring with you?', to which he replied 'A ball of raw opium the size of my head'.
In other news the awaited delivery will occur today at an unspecified time. Allegedly.
