Doing a night-out in the truck tonight. Don't really like doing them nowadays and since HMRC froze the tax-free allowance about 15 years ago the money isn't really worth doing it for. But as I'm the only driver who will actually do them it gives me leverage in negotiations when I refuse to do a job I'm given.

All beer is better than no beer ... just some is better than others in my view.
Just finished work and I'm alcohol free this month (as usual ... just by choice).
A can of coke doesn't really do the job half as well as a beer ... any beer 🍻

Actually rockdodger alcohol free Guiness is a decent drink, as is AF Adnams Ghost Ship if you're driving and have to abstain. Of course it's not a beer. Rog

Well it's early, but I'm up for work ... last shift of this week and only eleven weeks left to do.
As easy as falling off a bike.
It seems another ultimatum dead line has passed without discernible effect ... but of course office hours don't begin until 9am and I may be posting prematurely.
Oh the drama !

Work finished for the week now. Had a busy weekend last weekend with Sam being up and working on the boat with me, and have a busy-ish weekend planned next weekend as we're having a day out in London on the Saturday so I think this weekend will just be a chilled-out affair doing not very much.

Looks like a dry weekend. River still going like the clappers but gradually slowing down. Expect a lot of Boat movement next week as people get where they want to be.
Rather bizarrely the CRT closed Thames lock at Brentford. This is a bit rude but seemed to coincide with the red boards / SSA on the River.
So if that is still closed there will be a few Boats ending up above Teddington and possibly some taking the unwise option of transiting to Limehouse instead.

Gloriously glorious blue sky and sunshine morning on our day off.
We'll be going for a walk around an RSPB site later and dining with my sister this evening.
Back into home routine very quickly.
