Great Pic John, I take it thats the Mulberry Harbour sunk, is it as far down as Shoeburyness? not quite that far, roughly off Thorpe Bay, I suppose about half way between pier and range barrier.

Delta said September 22nd. Aren't we being a bit premature showing the silver cutlery to all and sundry before the throat-cutting last moments of suspense? If I had a good photograph I would ...(sadly this post had to be cut short as lunch has just arrived)

I didn't realise that cancelled it on this site as well ,,(oddly when I go back to it on my pc it's still there) I wanted to try and maintain copyright. I'll go and re post it if that,s the case

Stalham Staithe Norfolk Broads are they what you would call a wherry? No they are just wooden built sailing boats, a Norfolk Wherry is much more akin to something like an old Humber keel. Not my picture this one.

Thanks Martin and Gazza for the information. I think I might have to go and have a look at the broads at some stage.

Yes, its a shame really, I quite like things a bit different and it might have been good...if only you could have been arsed! hey ho, it doesnt surprise me.... but it must have taken quite a bit of arse to find navel shots. none tbh, all the arses I needed were posting here.

Thanks Martin and Gazza for the information. I think I might have to go and have a look at the broads at some stage. The broads are well worth a look, I've boated there since I was a kid. The southern rivers are bigger and perhaps a bit more fen like, the northern rivers pretty and smaller but busy as anything during the peak summer season. Plenty of places to get off the beaten track anywhere in Broaland though. Don't get there as often as I'd like these day's, which is a shame as my brother lives in Norwich and the Old Man lives in Lowestoft. Both have boats too
