So, the majority of Con members prefer to get out at any cost rather than continue the fudging of the last few years. I bet the fudging continues though, parliament has to vote whatever.
General election? Maybe as the whole shebang is just to swing some votes back from the Brexit party and stay in power.

How many voted for him? 100,000? That's not democracy. He doesn't stand a cat in hells chance of uniting his party let alone the country and he is more concerned about keeping his party in power than the wellbeing of the country as a whole. Hence the lemming rush over the cliff. Just heard him ranting at 400 words per minute on the news. Fueled by Peruvian Marching Powder?

How is that democracy? what right have the great unwashed mass of sandal wearing lefties to have a say in the election of the leader of the Conservative Party ? after all they didn't ask conservatives (in fact anyone else) when they all cried "Oh Jeremy" and he became leader of her Majesty's opposition as I said ..... you do have some strange political ideas

Well if the majority had voted Labour in at the last general election you wouldn’t have anything to moan about. ....but they didn’t.... What we have is the result of democracy (albeit a stealth dictatorship run by billionaires).

Funny how when it was Gordon Browns turn to be prime minister, nobody raised a fuss like this!

Because this was about Conservative party members electing a new leader, not a poll of the general electorate. You may as well say that a golf club is undemocratic because only 25 people voted for the new chairman.

Unelected prime ministers seem to be getting quite common lately. I blame Tiny Blur and Gordon for making it look kosher.
as for Boris Johnson he is a totally unvotable nob. I remember him at Henley festival about 2007 when he was still Henley MP. Showman. Yes he knows what he is doing but he is a tit and would never get voted in via general election.

The whole thing is theatre for the electorate anyway, it was always going to be Boris because he's the only one who could retrieve the lost Tory vote from Farage and that is his only purpose. He can and will be replaced when they next need a vote boost or a smokescreen to cover their collective arse. Whichever way Brexit ends up the rich and powerful will win and the poor and powerless will loose. It's been the same for all history. Democracy is an illusion and the Tories are masters of it. How can a party that benefits probably less than 1% of the population EVER be elected?

Teresa May was appointed to delay Brexit, Boris Johnson has been appointed to delay Brexit. OK,fair enough, but we can only carry on down that road until there is a statutory requirement for a general election, which is the one thing all three mainstream parties are terrified about.

The truth is that every politician could go on holiday for ever and life will still continue.
