Went to look ay the Norman 32. A struggle to start it but it handnt started for a while he said.
How does it sound. This is after maybe 5 mins running
It is the Merc OMD636

It was a joke. Its a 4 pot so "big end" is obviously not correct Sounds pretty good to me I wonder what the smoke output was like on startup.

The slight reluctance to start will probably be down to a combination of a bit of air in the pump and injectors from connecting and running off that can of fuel instead of the tank, and being indirect injection, . . ie. injectors spray into a pre-combustion chamber in the head and not directly into a combustion chamber in the piston crown - like the Ricardo Comet combustion chamber design used in the BMC 1.5 and 1.8 Diesels, and the Perkins 4.99, 4.107, and 4.108.

Has it got heater plugs then or some sort of preheater on the air inlet?
I noticed the air inlet cap was off.
