I moved my vote today - one went up, one went down. Sort of has double the effect if you move it. Why move it?

However the voting is being manipulated, it is very disappointing that adults can't register a vote for their preferred photo, and then leave it. But it is what it is ... I presume somebody's having a jolly time. Rog I don't believe it is one person (I know I've only ever had one vote) and as I believe mm when he has only one puppet and I don't believe Foxy has about 12 puppets, somewhere you either have to accept that is the honest intentions of the voters or start suspecting that a considerable number of registered users of the forum are not real people. Whilst I'm not happy if voting has gone down the line of 'support your favourite poster' I refuse to countenance that somewhere in the region of 25% of voters/members are sockpuppets. dogless and JohnV will always think this is a rigged vote. That is damaging. It's bad news.

Perhaps you should have done the same as patty, make your mind up before voting. That's not meant to be a pop at you by the way, just my opinion. It would save all the hassle.

A hidden vote would allow people to change their mind without causing controversy - just some think for next years comp organiser to consider.

I am very sad that the Thunderboat picture competition has become a sock puppets playground. It's hard to tell if the number of votes match the number of members who would normally vote - I suppose what can only be described as 'the usual suspects', ie. the usual regular contributors. It's possible for members who don't normally take part in action to vote. But then, none of that really matters, the disturbing issue is the possible use of 'sock puppets'. As stated before, I have no sock puppets, and never have had, on Thunderboat. I have voted only once, as is allowed per member. I suspect that this is temporary silliness, and things will settle down by the end of voting which is 6pm sharp on Christmas Eve (that's next Tuesday, 24th December).

I think the real reason for the votes shifting is that no-one wants to spend 2 nights with Jim Riley.

For once I totally agree with you. Itβs a pity that the poll system allows such fickleness. I donβt think one can visit the polling station on General Election Day, and then return a few hours later to say you have changed your mind.

I see couple of new sock puppets have joined in the last day or so. How pathetic that one feels the need to create new sock puppets just to vote for oneβs own photo.

I looked on my phone, I voted. I looked on my laptop and changed my mind. I shouldn't have to explain any of this it's nobodies business but mine. I only posted to point out the larger than life effect that moving a vote has.
