Miranda Hart went to the barbers for a shave. "That'll be 10 bob," says the barber. "But the sign outside says 5 shillings," retorts Ms Hart. "5 bob per chin," quips the barber.

No no no no... Im not having that! The Good Life was and still is, in my opinion, the best thing the BBC ever hosted! The Queen even gave it her blessing!

Surbiton is a scary place.
We lived near there (Hampton Wick) from 86-96 albeit rich beyond the dreams of Everest in a Riverside house with own moorings so never had to interact with the plebs much.
One of my cousins lived in a big house in Surbiton. Very worrying.

I preferred them to the Goons, which will likely upset Johnv.... although I did like Michael Bentine's Flea Circus I'm devastated that you could think that

The Young Ones has to be one of the best comedies ever. Look what we have now - Jodie bloody Whittaker and her Amazing Politically Correct Circus.

Neaarly missed this one. Ronan O'Rahilly, founder of Radio Caroline shuffled off this mortal coil on Monday aged 79.
Hopefully, the link works.

I was just off to sea then ...... I remember crossing the South Atlantic from Cape Town to Montevideo (mid 60's) and for several consecutive days for maybe an hour at dusk picking up Radio Caroline and piping it through the ships entertainment system.

Kim Jong-un. Botched heart surgery. Is he dead? Isn't he dead? Who knows. His sister seems even worse...
