I reckon the future of small boat propulsion will look more like this: Beer can for scale. That motor can develop 4hp (3200w). The actual motor is mounted inside the stainless case. That's at 40v and 4,000 rpm. I will eventually get this into the floating electric beer drinking platform as an inboard motor and expecting to see a noticeable increase in speed. The sweet little propeller came from an old Johnson electric outboard. Looks nicely matched for the motor I reckon.

Go in loads of pubs and ask for a pint of any beer and see how many give you cider, then fall over.
