What's to discuss... if a copper asks me my name, I will tell him and perhaps ask his/hers too... as a courtesy.

it USED to be called respect for their occupation. When the Police just stand by and allow bogus bailiffs to steal boats, without checking the identification of these 'so-called court bailiffs' with their 'pretend court order of removal' - what respect should they be given? Respect needs to be earned. It's not something you are automatically entitled to when you don a uniform. bollocks. As children, we were taught to respect policemen because of the uniform... that is the point of a uniform - to make them stand out as already 'screened' to be of integrity/virtue ... ok so the odd one might step over the mark... everyone has bad days but I still don't see the big deal about being asked and given your name.

Just read it ... typical foxy idiocy.
For a man with no experience of life in the UK for the last 12 months he does talk a lot about it.

I would too, normally ... but I do not like the threatening bully-boy attitude of many Police 'officers'. Obviously they have to deal with a lot of annoying twits, so I can understand their frustration - on the other hand, they are defenders of politicians and the real big crooks who are running (ruining?!) the country. The main function of the Police is as a go-between to keep the poor away from the rich. This is a discussion that goes round and round and round and gets nowhere. Next! yeah, right ............. you would know all about that

He is not welcome in Scotland at the best of times, that's politics. What 'work' is he doing that cannot be done from 'home' is he, for example, going to dig up the M8? I don't think so, it's not in his job description. Is he going to 'run the country' when we have a First Minister to do all that is necessary in that department. Is he going to have 'meetings', why does he think the internet is used for business these days? Not to mention the cost, his travel costs, his 'advisers', the press, the police. I bet if he had to pay those costs out of his salary he'd be in debt last year, this year, and next year. Just for a few days of time wasting. His 'presence', as his office put it, is unwelcome, now, more than ever. Get over it he is the PM of the UK Scotland is a small part of the UK, so if the PM of the UK has work to do in Scotland he can go there, just like Scottish MPs go to Westminster after all that is the Parliament that runs the UK that Scotland forms a small part of The point is that visiting a vaccine centre to 'meet and greet' is not work in my book, anyone can make up 'reasons' aka excuses. If he wants to thank someone for doing their job, just have another broadcast from Downing Street. Or send them a letter. "Thanks to the NHS, the scientists, the amazon delivery drivers, the folks who are not going out to work spreading the disease" Oh wait a minute, has he not already done that., seems he is the only person who has not got the Stay at Home message. I am waiting for a response to my complaint, they obviously did not take it seriously. When a celebrity visits anywhere it reduces productivity, and increases policing costs, it's waste of scarce resources. I am not interested in party politics, I know full well how the Lords and The Commons make full use of their priviledges, at the taxpayers expense.

To Foxy.
You think not giving your name is ok to the police.
Except whenever there is a newsworthy incident that you are 'interested' in, you want names and photo published...

To Foxy.
You think not giving your name is ok to the police. Yes, indeed I do. Unless they suspect you of a crime, etc. Are we allowed to install CCTV cameras in every room in Parliament, in every judge's room in their homes? Why not? Privacy is sacred - as is defending 'freedom of speech'. Would you agree to the 'Police' or 'State' probing your mind for your every thought? How far does it go until you say Stop!! ?? You are living under an illusion of freedom. Now answer the second part of my statement. Nazi.

Just read it ... typical foxy idiocy. For a man with no experience of life in the UK for the last 12 months he does talk a lot about it. You think Tory cronyism is 'idiocy'? Can you just point out which part of my post mentioned either Tory or cronyism ? I believe you said you have not been to the UK since December 2019 ... yet you constantly ramble on about life here under covid restrictions ... a life you have no personal experience of. If we decided to tell you what life was like in Finland you'd be rightly annoyed. Rog

But you never express a view ... just random idiocy.
And reference your "Eh ?" question ... you have previously said you have not been to your boat (in the UK) since December 2019, and yet you constantly TELL us what is happening here during the pandemic based on stuff you claim to have read.
I suggest you have no more idea of what life is like here at present, than we have regarding life in Finland.
Not that wild a surmise is it ... as I've not been there and you've not been here.

Isn't there something going on when someone brings the Nazis into a discussion?
Godwin's law or something.
