never quite achieved that ....... sigh !!!

If I lived on land I would really like to have 3 shipping containers. One for residential (perfect size to live in) one for workshop and one for the wheels, which would ideally be a small car which would fit on a container. All linked together with sliding doors.
I reckon that would work lovely.
All parked on a bit of Riverside land with the boat moored alongside.
Perfect!

One plan for me was to live on a barge, big bugger about 80foot plus and have half as work shop with crane to get cars and boats on and off, and other half to live on. that would be top notch luvin it

I really should be a good boy I was on a forum last week when soembody posted this that was ebay at a dam good price aswell. I always fancied one but prices are high for a good Colchester etc around £1500 and higher. They are big beggers though. This is 3/4 the size and well, a dam site cheaper This one looked spot on though, perfic size for the workshop. And it has all i need but for a better cabinet/stand and a bigger motor, which i won last night. The motor is another story in itself, how i come to winning that i dont know. Anyway, this is the new toy. All gadgets I will be making a new cabinet for it and motor mount for the 3ph 2hp motor. betetr than the 3/4hp one that it came with. Oh it came off a WW2 German Navy ship that was being stripped in Londonderry many years ago. A high up chap in the Navy got to take when they were stripping it out. Been used by him in model making, he passed away and his sold it on to a workshop clearance chap. I have no clue what thhis has to do with the boat either ha ha

Thought i would pop and tell the good news Well besides making the new lathe cabinet and saying no to buying a milling machine i have decided to get the boat going with no engines in. Got the mooring so why not use it. Plan is to get the workshop earning while i fettle the boat good enough to use. Its a few a good month behind the new canopy being made and i have asked what the crack is and when they will be coming. So if all goes to plan the will be launched in useable condition around April 2022. So then when it comes out home in winter the next bit can be done etc etc. Engines will done when funds allow again, and i will work my arse off again to get the funds for more fun. happy with this though

Battleship lathe. That's the sort of thing they would have done a really good job at making. Not a hobby item.
Always good to have ratchet straps in case of turning something unwieldy and irregular shaped.

Have to say though the tail of the strap does hurt a tads when slapping you around the face

Well.its that time again, so merry Xmas to those who luv it 👍😁
I am.afraid to say lately I have been loosing interest in the Fury. I reckon though its down to me and slowly loosing the will to live. Last weekend and this I tried to have a go and started to refurb the windows inremoved early on the year.
I finished the workshop now Well near as dam.which is great.
Also I sorted my shoulders out and got steroid injection and sort of getting better but over two weeks ago I had an eye haemarage and lost near all vision in one eye so not been easy doing these frames or getting motivated.
But frames are looking good polished up. A 120g on the DA and on the polisher is a quick job done. I'll.do better wheni can see properly.
Dam.cant load pic now lol.
Anyway I'll.sort pics later.
All best again to all.

All big projects flag every now and again, sometimes a short break from them can result in new enthusiasm later on

Hey work finds me thinsg to do as i cant drive. i did a bit on the fork lift last week untill i broke a few pallets ha ha. back to the packing departmnet soul destroying but still earning. just sussed out pics well a couple lol Last time i did this i used 75mm pads in a hand drill, this polisher is dam site quicker. made a tool for the fly press aswell to make the window brackets. lot easier than a vice and hammer to get a good bend and accuracy
