A 'b' list actress who's married well and seeks the 'quiet life' in the USA ... strange way of seeking to step back from the public gaze. Five years time and they'll be seeking to make money from the divorce no doubt. Rog Yes, I'd put good money on divorce being the outcome. And the prodigal son being welcome back home with open arms

"Boris Johnson refuses to say just who IS paying for Carrie Symonds' £200,000 renovation of their Downing Street flat" "Of course he won't say who is paying!!!! It's like no one will be held responsible for giving away government contracts to the friends and friends of family's and local pubs friends of friends. Who are we the tax payer to question where our money goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Drives me mad when people don’t use table mats under there mugs etc. They ain’t coming on my boat.

I didn't realise Megan was having an affair, I thought she was happy with her Prince Harry?

But on a slightly more serious note, the headlines didn't seem too good for the UK and the Royal Fam, but on listening to all the Oprah show I could bear on ITV tonight, it is clear Megan is milking it for all it is worth (which is probably quite a lot). She is after all an actress and probably it is in reality an audition for the next series of The Crown. Sadly, the yanks probably believe her at face value, but I doubt many Brits will. No doubt buried in the hours of drama there are a few unfortunate truths, but it is so laced with fanciful interpretations of the goings on, that all credibility is lost. Over-egged to the point of constipation.

I watched the interview with an attempt at an open mind. I have to admit, it did feel like Oprah was making an attempt at pantomime with all the faux shocked facial expressions.
At times, even Harry (whilst he does continue to conduct himself thoughtfully, tactfully and eloquently) appeared to be walked into making comments he'd otherwise keep private.
As much as folks jeer and snipe about his life of privilege, they could perhaps stop for a moment and think back to that little ginger haired boy - publically walking behind his mothers coffin for the world to see. That has got to have been the most painful thing ...
Many people are simply jealous of "all the money they have" rather than accept they are frail, and fallible - like the rest of us. EVERYONE makes mistakes (sometimes learning from them) but unlike you or I, THEY don't have the luxury of no-one seeing or being forgiven for them.
FWIW - uncomfortable viewing as it may have been... certainly for Charles, Granny probably just wants to be Granny and has weathered worse storms... good luck to them.
I'll leave the door open on Ellis for Harry whenever he wants to rock up - so long as he leaves the kids with her!

As you say, being rich and privileged doesn’t make you immune from hurt.

Didn't watch it..sis text to say Piers had walked out of Good Morning Britain so I switched on..have heard enough.. A walk calls... As Mark has so rightly reminded the picture of Harry walking behind mums coffin must have been so painful. Its unsurprising that he suffered mental Health problems.. Needs a veil drawing between the lot of them and the public court of opinion.

I'll leave the door open on Ellis for Harry whenever he wants to rock up - so long as he leaves the kids with her! That's a very sympathetic view, and certainly caused me to reconsider for a moment. But I think it says more about what a good soul quaysider is than anything about the participants. Two out of work actresses (and close friends) putting on a very public performance with the intent of causing harm to a British institution, barely equates with someone seeking a quiet life away from the spotlight of the press and media. I cannot comment directly on the content of 'the show' as I didn't watch ... but the principle motivation and driving force appears to be a combination of self publicity and cash. The picture of the little boy following his mother's coffin is indeed extremely sad ... but the very public destruction of a family's life by an in-law must come a very close second. I considered how I would feel if it were my family at the centre of the storm ... then realised it takes a VERY special type of person to create such unpleasantness. Rog
