I thought the answer was 42. Rog I think Ross's problem is that his answer is 27.

I donβt want it, just as I donβt want the flu jab. I avoid as much as possible the situations that could give me flu. I donβt use pubs and very seldom mix with crowds anyway. Add the fact that this stuffs going to be shot up your arm every six months and will probably be ineffective within a few years, some are just not interested. Iβm one of them. Anyway, when youβve all got one arm longer than the other, Iβll have summat to laugh about. Hypothetically, should you find yourself a tad short of breath as the dead lung cells slowly fill up your airways, would you avail yourself of modern medicine in those circumstances? Iβve enough to be going on with, without the need for anything hypothetical.

You have a choice, get the Vax and be able to go to pubs etc, or stay at home and drink tins of Stella on your own. No pressure to choose either way. You could substitute "visit boat in another country" for the Stella/pub analogy. Either way, no pressure, your choice.

Weβve been told that the vaccine does not stop you from catching, or spreading the virus, yet we are now fed this: βFully vaccinated Britons may be allowed to avoid quarantine on their return from international holidaysβ. I smell a rat.

People expect answers immediately ..takes time to collate data. We r in an ever changing situation with new variants emerging I had my antibodies done last year as part of the Twinning association research run by St Thomases ..-ve .. Apparently going to retest in the next few weeks so I will know if the vaccine has kicked my immune response Unless everyone tested..which is a mammoth undertaking data will only be assessed by these trials People will always draw their own conclusions.. I'll just carry on as I am but do intend to get out in a few weeks.

The bbc. I would suggest that "Nature" is probably a bit more authoritative

Ross makes a good point above! I am left wondering why I had my first jab. At the time I had been promised that once the vaccines were well into distribution then we would be able to mix freely again. This appears to have been lies. Now itβs still canβt mix as we donβt know if they work? Future looks like vaccines passport or stay at home. Also seems to be a worryingly growing spread of nutters who support masks and distancing forever. Forever!! Itβs becoming all rather scary.

Ross, you really are a complete and total wazzak You seem to believe that definitive reports can be plucked out of thin air, without waiting for the evidence to collect a statement made 18 months ago saying "There is no evidence that a zoomorphic virus has transferred from bats to humans" You take as being a fact ....... the statement that there was no evidence is correct but taking the statement to mean there is no virus is stupidYou have to watch all the time and your views should change with the collection of evidence
Your views don't change, they remain fixed and you studiously ignore evidence that doesn't fit
There are differences of views among scientists and some are way left field, you have to go by the consensus and that consensus is at great variance from your world view
