We are too mean to buy our own LFTs so we will have to stop visiting aged and vulnerable relatives and friends* as without tests we have no chance of knowing if we are asymptomatic carriers or not. We don't want to be the ones to accidentally infect them, as everybody knows the 'vaccines' don't work. We took all three vaccines, because they were free. *(Actually, I don't have any friends - just made that up!) What's to stop you from paying for your own LF tests? At £3.50/test you won't visit your friends/relatives? (not much of a 'friend', then!) You could also pay £150 for the 'gold standard' PCR test to make sure they're especially safe! Best you keep out of the supermarkets too, in case you 'infect others'.

There’s a young chap at the gliding club who is a creationist, thinks everything in the bible is true including world created in 7 days a few thousand years ago. God put fossils there just to test our faith. Arguing with you lot is very similar to arguing with him that in fact god doesn’t exist, and certainly the world came into existence quite a long time ago. In other words, there is no point in debating with lunatic extremist conspiracy theorists, they are never going to change their viewpoint because holding that viewpoint, regardless of a complete absence of evidence, gives them a sense of importance and cleverness. Some people seek religion, others seek conspiracy theories, but underlying that is the identical irrational mental process.

the BMJ is part of the global conspiracy! ... the age adjusted rate of death was 96% lower in people who had received a second dose of vaccine than in those who were unvaccinated.“ Sorry. What does age adjusted rate of death mean? It means they adjust the figures so that their point is made. Oh no, wait a minute, that is what the conspiracy theorists do! Oh alright then, it means that you adjust for the expected rate of death from any cause by age. So if most of them were 100, you’d expect a much higher death rate than if most of them were 25.

Sounds dodgy to me. I wonder how much money they make from fiddling the figures Isn't it.

Try this article from the BMJ - unless of course you think that the BMJ is part of the global conspiracy? www.bmj.com/content/376/bmj.o5This para is relevant: “ Further analysis by the agency has concluded that unvaccinated adults are as much as eight times more likely to be admitted to hospital than those who have been vaccinated and that booster doses are 88% effective at preventing hospital admission.“ And this one, although to be fair it predates omicron: “ The Office for National Statistics’ latest report on deaths from covid-19 covering the period from January to October last year in England found that the age adjusted rate of death was 96% lower in people who had received a second dose of vaccine than in those who were unvaccinated.“ Sorry if the facts spoil your conspiracy theory. Although of course since those facts don’t align with your beliefs, I am sure you will have no trouble in ignoring them. Right, so if someone has had a vaccine they don't need to worry their sweet cheeks if someone else hasn't?

Right, so if someone has had a vaccine they don't need to worry their sweet cheeks if someone else hasn't? Only if they were of very limited intelligence. Anyone with a normal level of intelligence would realise that the unvaccinated are clogging up hospitals, so when the vaccinated have a medical problem unrelated to covid, they have to die slowly in an ambulance outside the A&E department waiting for a bed unnecessarily taken by the foolish hordes with an avoidable illness.

The funniest thing about the conspiracy nutters is that for there to be a global conspiracy about covid, Nicola Sturgeon and Bojo would have to be in it together. That is NEVER going to happen!

There doesn't have to be an active conspiracy for an erroneous line of thinking to arise. The Salem witch trials for example are another famous example of mass hysteria which spread to numerous towns is Massachusetts, each under separate leadership. This was very similar to what we are seeing now.

Nope, you don’t know if the vaccine or the immune system was responsible for significantly reducing symptoms, just like I don’t. That’s easy. The immune system is the only thing responsible for significantly reducing symptoms. But of course the vaccine gives the immune system a kick up the arse and makes the immune system work better. Maybe, maybe not. Nobody knows if the vaccine is any good. Only time will tell, or a court case which I have no doubt whatsoever will eventually happen.

What does age adjusted rate of death mean? It means they can manipulate/adjust the figures so that their point is made. Oh no, wait a minute, that is what the conspiracy theorists do!
