I can't seem to be able to do this. I copy the image and then paste in my reply to a topic but nothing happens.

You have to click on the photo icon above the post and enter the url in there. Sorry to be so thick but what is the url on a photo you've got in your pictures files?

The site doesn't help at pics itself, you have the host/store them in somewhere like Imgur. Then paste the address/URL from there into your post. Or use the Tapatalk app on your phone to access Thunderboat, add pics from your phone to the Tapatalk post and it deals with all the hosting and all appears as if by magic. I only use Tapatalk if I want to post pics, as earlier today. Once you've got Tapatalk set up it's easy.

Posting images (on a PC) for dummies lesson 1.
Go to any website with an image on it. Pick any one you like. Right-click on the image and select 'copy image address'. Then copy this (by again right-clicking) into the 'post image' dialog box here on TB.
How to post your own images will be covered in lesson 2.

Why can't you simply copy and paste? Don't use a smartphone and don't want to use an outside site to share my photos with so looks like it won't be possible?

Sorry phil70 ... if you follow step by step the copy and paste url should appear on your post and as if by magic the photo appears when you upload. It works ... you must be doing something wrong unless your tablet/phone/computer is different. I really don't 'get' technology ... it was @nettles step by step guide got me there Rog
