Yes now you mention it I can see it.
With on one side of the ashtray 2 remote controls and on the other side 3 lighters and a pack of rolling tabaco.
I'm allergic to smoke and wouldn't even go inside knowing what I've seen now.
Peter.

Cheap MFV at Kingston on Thames. Look at this on eBay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/312194208215I went past this the other day on way to the river Wey. Its a bit of a beast I suspect unhappy about being on fresh water. Listed for a pound. Collection only (giggle). Oddly described as a river barge (it's an MFV) this is odd because I know some of the residents there (Barge Walk) and they would not be making that error unless it was deliberate to get more clicks. I wonder if its got a big Gardner

In English it's called "firewood" But yes it is a poisoned chalice and the lack of engine detail indicates it probably doesn't have anything special in there. I think is too large for a 3 or 4 pot Gardner or kelvin. The vessel did arrive under its own power I would say about 15 years ago. One of those boats which gets bigger and bigger on its way up from the estuary. It is quite a beast.

37k euros. I was thinking it might make a nice vessel for European waterway non live aboard holiday cruising. That is a very pretty boat, I know where it's moored, to bad it has a DAF engine, not because they're no good, they are most reliable engines, but they always smoke.
Probably even more smoke on a small boat like this where the engine never has to work hard enough.
One thing (2 things really) that has to be done to make it an easy boat for single handing is additional strong cleats right next to the wheelhouse doors.

That hull is the same kind as the "Shellfen", for a good DIY steelworker it could be a good buy.

I noticed that earlier on today. What sort of barge is it? I must admit I thought shellfen was a considerably larger boat. This one is quite narrow something like 9ft wide.
