Yes there was something similar on givemesomemoney.com or another online begging site. Not sure if if was the same boat it may have been Rings a bell.

what a contraption to be called a canal boat. House boat possibly pig's ear more accurately. as far as I can see, it's only redeeming feature (just) is the view from the inside through that stern .... gallery ?

HEN is quite a lot wider and also unpowered which would make this one a bit more desirable if someone wanted it for cruising or using on french waterways. Looks like a nice bit of ironwork

That surely does look nice for such an old barge, I wonder why there are quite a few tiny patches on the hull at the bow and the stern too. Would it only have had tiny little spots that were rusted through, with the rest of the steel/iron surrounding it still in good condition, so that bigger plates would have been overkill ? Peter.
