"IWA is deeply concerned about the threat to our waterways posed by funding cuts, with for example Canal & River Trust and Scottish Canals financial situations being especially critical. "
Some people argue this is nonsense and the CRT are awash with money.
It can't be both.

There are small countries that don’t have that kind of income. In some ways this campaign is just backing up crts propaganda campaign. I’m sure the iwa will support disproportionately bashing widebeams and boaters without home moorings. It’s just interesting that they deviate from crts line by pointing out the network has deteriorated badly under crts stewardship.

I think it is called Reality. Yes but it’s not something crt freely admits to. In their reality they are doing a good job.

It has been for a long time. Its almost like getting too many boats onto the cut was a deliberate strategy like selling cheap crack to school kids. kerching time ?

It's just words though. To get things to change we need an armed and violent insurrection. Onward to Milton Keynes comrades!

As was recently stated in parliament, CRT has assets of 1.1 billion quid, and an annual income of 260 million quid. With some hard work, intelligence, and a few less fat cat directors, I'm pretty sure an expenditure plan for the next ten years could be drawn up. Of course it would be a lot simpler if they actually had people that were sympathetic and knowledgeable on the organisations workings.

But your right there is a deliberateness to crts actions. They are not stupid like some people would have you believe.
