Early doors and the reds are ahead. But it's a long way to the finish and I won't be staying up.

Got to laugh...
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says the Conservative Party is making progress in “key election battlegrounds” like Peterborough, Sandwell and Bassetlaw - despite losing control of several councils in early results.
Since when has somewhere like Sandwell been a key election battleground. Lab seats 60 - Cons 12................

So far actual councils changing hands are low, although plenty of councillor substitutions. Loads left to declare. It's nice to think all this heralds 'change'. But it doesn't.
General Election next year? For once I hope so.

Canterbury is one to watch; a Tory safe seat for years, there is much dissatisfaction with the natives.

Oh happy days!!!.....

Is it too soon to start talking about a bloodbath (or perhaps a bath of blood)?

99 of 230 councils declared. Labour gains - 200 Tory losses - 332
Fucking liberals.

One of my great uncles was a big whig yars ago. Sheffield.
The Mum was a wooly liberal as well and most of her esteemed family.
The old git father was a bit wishy washy but went true blue when he got together with the second wife who is gentry tory scum.
Yars ago the old git's family were staunchly Labour.
So yeah. I'm a MRL man myself. Thinking of running for the local constituency if I can be arsed.
