Personal insults are the last resort of the loser.

Yes, I forgot lorry drivers are a bit better off. Hooray, the one tangible benefit for the majority of the population. YMMV indeed. Now look. We won, you lost. Dry those salty tears and get over it. Incidentally, and in much the same spirit you say you didn't vote for Boris, I didn't vote in the plebiscite. Mostly because neither side convinced me of the greater truth. So please stick the 'you lost' bullshit up your arse and fuck off while you are doing it. To clarify: I now personally believe Brexit is the single biggest economic calamity this nation has faced since the 'Great Depression'. But only time will tell.

Personal insults are the last resort of the loser. Funny that you say this whilst we all know that you resort to personal insults most of the time. Whereas I do it rarely and only when it is entirely appropriate. Anyway, this quote is reserved for future use.

It’s not really worth replying directly to nick as he has obviously had a drink or three. Resorting to personal insults is the path of someone who knows he’s in the wrong. Normally if you accuse someone of being or doing something, then the onus is on the accuser to prove the accusations. The only thing nick has proved that he really is not a nice person. Fuck off you homophobic bully. I never knew you were gay, Nick. You should have mentioned it.

Whatever nick I’m done with you. You still haven’t shown me where I’m supposed to have made a homophobic comment.

I was being kind. You were being very unpleasant to someone (again) whilst claiming to be the injured party (again). I was attempting to add a note of levity. Rog I was being unpleasant to somebody who entirely deserved it. I realise that you will do anything to avoid confrontation, but most people are not like that and certainly don’t need to be drunk in order to have the “courage” to fight back at people attacking me. I do wonder what would happen if someone attacked Jane. Would you really run away? Once again we're discussing you being unpleasant to someone who 'entirely deserved it'. This seems to be a reasonably regular occurrence, and I would have thought a very intelligent man and classicist would have by now considered what the common denominator could be. As for Jane being attacked ... I'd wait a few minutes and then try VERY hard to pull her off the attacker 😁 Rog

The common denominator is the people who frequent this forum. Mostly people who were thrown out of CWDF for being obnoxious.

Which begs the question why post on this forum then?

Whatever nick I’m done with you. You still haven’t shown me where I’m supposed to have made a homophobic comment. I have just done that, but you were too thick and blinkered to comprehend it. Well to be accurate, I haven’t accused you of making a homophobic comment. I have accused you of homophobic behaviour and explained why.

It is all rather sad for a number of different reasons.
Be cautious. Societal collapse comes slowly but is relentless and inevitable.
Small details.
The end of the world is nigh!! REPENT! REPENT!!

Which begs the question why post on this forum then? I suppose in part because it reminds me how fortunate I am not to have to interact with people like you in person. And being honest I suppose there is the same sort of strange attraction that leads people to watch horror films.

How do you know what my sexual preferences are nick. You have exactly no idea of my sexuality as I have never posted on a public forum anything about it. Unlike some people.
