I am still voting for my Tory MP, why you may ask? Well I know him he is a good guy when I complained about the license consultation he did it and came to the same conclusion that it was a set up and talked to the waterways minister, who concluded the same something we all knew. well as yet nothing has been announced so I do wonder if its been kicked into the long grass? Incidentally he also spoke to call me Robin about the consultation that gave no other answer other than the one CRT wanted! So for me its local the person I want you have to be able to talk to and get answers unfortunately the previous labour MP was as much use as a chocolate fireguard!!

I've never voted Conservative in my life. There was no suggestion of who voted for whom. To summarise my position, I'm glad that Labour got a good kicking because at the time they were still making noises about re-joining the eu. Unfortunately, given that we have a two-party system that meant the only other party, the Conservatives being elected. So I wasn't "made up" with the Tories winning, just glad that Labour got taught a lesson about respecting the wishes of the mainly working-class voters who voted for Brexit.

That's a very reasoned and reasonable view. But now we're being taught a lesson about the perils of allowing a bunch of ignorant low-intelligence twats to have a direct influence on matters of foreign policy of which they have no understanding whatsoever. Oh well. Viva democracy.

To respond to the original thread question...I would vote if the question was 'Which party do you hope will form the government after the next G.E.?' Because it could be mayhem. However, I am taking hope from the recent local council election results.
But to be fair, in hindsight these things seldom appear to make a huge difference in the wider tableau of events. So who cares. If I tell myself it concerns me greatly I know I'm lying to myself.

Do you agree that piss stained, wearthers stinking pensioners should automatically be receiving 8 or 9% on top of their 12% or whatever last year whilst doctors, nurses, train drivers etc are having to fight to try to receive less rises?

It must be remembered that many people rely on the state pension as their only source of income. I count myself extremely fortunate that I do not, but my parents both did.
However the triple lock has to be unsustainable with an ageing population and so many other financial priorities.
It may be better if both Conservative and Labour parties agreed to discard it, whilst also committing to increase state pensions at a meaningful rate.
It would be electoral suicide for either to ditch the policy unilaterally I would suggest.
But what about the minimum wage earners and other working people struggling to make ends meet at present .
The triple lock was a good servant but makes a poor master in my view.

next March for me, he actually said they have no short term plans to remove it but in the long term they will have to look at it, I also notice Labour have not commented on it, so no help there

15 votes and a tie between Labour and 'couldn't care less'
Sounds about right 😁
It has to be said that politicians of all parties have done all they can to break down any residual trust, and belief in the political process.
As my old Dad used to say ... doesn't matter who you vote for, the government still wins.
