Yes Leeds is one of the facilities not on the list along with meadow lane in Nottingham. They seem to want to take out the most used facilities which is a bit backwards. It’s plainly an attack on livaboard boaters taken in combination with increased licence fees for cc’ers it seems like a concerted effort.

there is a sani point at Lemonroyd, but guess what, last 2 times I tried to use it, it was out of action, that was a couple of weeks apart, so time to have sorted it.

I wonder what the boats do that moor in the armories? It seems wrong that crt remove facilities where they rent moorings out.

The lack of accountability in all of this is horrific. Is it a deliberate policy of misinformation or a reflection of administrative chaos?
The percentage of people with an interest (compared to the total population) is vanishingly small. The outlook is bleak.

Its going to get worse before it gets better.
I noticed recently at one of the micro-slums in east London where 2 or 3 boats have been moored for months with dodgy dogs and asbo on the towpath an interesting thing happened.
One of the people on a boat decided to do a refit. Massive piles of shite on the towpath. That was a couple of days ago. Today it was gone.
I was intrigued. Spotted it nearby in a bin area behind some flats. Not in bins but fly tipped.
Not that the CRT had any bins there anyway or had closed any bins but this is going to cause conflicts.
I think the CRT is on a road to nowhere and will find themselves with an enormous bill for dealing with floating rubbish very soon.
There is a self destruct mode in operation when it comes to managing towpaths. I'm sure they are going to take my advice and get the problem area transferred to local authorities at some point.

CRT publically available policy is to stop maintaining shower facilities unless needed for staff reasons.

I don't understand why a navigation authority would provide any of these services in the first place.
Just get rid of the RSW, save money and spend the savings on keeping water in the canal.
People who don't have access to waste or shit disposal can pay private operators for it out of the money they saved by not paying council tax.

People who don't have access to waste or shit disposal can pay private operators for it out of the money they saved by not paying council tax. Damn right. And people who scam rent money from the council when they have the means to pay for it themselves should be brought before the courts.
