My great mother used to make these and she called them chocolate lovelies. They were lovely she was not wrong. Cordon Bleu cook always knew what to do.

My mum was renowned for her meringue cakes, just a large tablespoon dollop on grease proof paper (or you could use the old style medicated toilet paper...), cooked to perfection, still snow white on the outside, would burst at the first mouthful and then leave you with a small slightly soft/chewy centre. At xmas time we used to join two together with butter icing and decorate with two bits of angelica and a small bit of glaze cherry.
I think dogless should start with making chocolate cornflake cakes.

Currantly eating low sugar fruit cake, cooked in the air fryer. Yum. Swmbo has been experimenting with cooking all sorts on the air fryer (who likes burnt liquorice - get that in before the pedants!). It's more economical but also safer for her, when she opens the big oven door the blast of hot air triggers cataplexy - not good to be collapsing into a hot oven!
