I've been surprised the Cons haven't worked out a way of bringing back Boris the clown for the next election - who knows what you would end up with voting for the Cons, how many PM's since the last election...

They made a disastrous mistake getting rid of Johnson in what was essentially a Muslim power grab. Prior to last week's elections I watched a Vox Pop interview on the BBC where folk were interviewed about their voting intentions. All said that they would vote for anyone except the Cons. Each was then asked "Do you think the Cons would have a better chance if Johnson was still PM" and every single one said "Yes".

I say bring it on. I can only hope they don't start playing premier musical chairs like your tory chums.

Such a shame that Boris turns out to be the nasty lying cunt that anyone with eyes in their head could see he is from the outset. Oh well. At least the muzzys in the present cabinet don't even bother to try and hide it.

However, the fact is that the Tories won a large majority in the last General Election because much of the northern electorate could identify with Johnson in a way they don't do with Sunak.

Such is your opinion. Mine is that such assumptions are total bollocks but there we are. And TBH I don't buy this 'I don't have a dog in the race' shit. Its more that, in the face of the biggest political foregone conclusion since the German annexation of Austria, you're quite transparently feigning indifference. As the modern idiom would say, 'let's have it right'.

Most people I’ve spoken with on the Boris subject hold the opposite view, I certainly wouldn’t vote for him, if he returned. I think his election success was down to Brexit, many voters believing the lies he spun about how it would improve their lives. Many of them will have realised by now that it was all just lies. As for a Muslim power grab, not sure how you hold that view?

Just shows how gullible some people are, being led by the nose by the tory press.

I don't give a shit whether Labour or the Conservatives win because both have only the interests of the monied classes at heart and I am not in that classification.

I see Natalie Elphick, MP for Dover, has defected from the Conservatives to Labour so she obviously doesn't see any ideological differences between them.

Which is why you cooed for weeks over the Tory victory that put Boris in No.10, along with Jenlyn and the other cognoscenti. Oh and 🤣🤣🤣

I see Natalie Elphick, MP for Dover, has defected from the Conservatives to Labour so she obviously doesn't see any ideological differences between them. Given her voiciferous protestations about illegal immigrants specifically affecting her constituents, and her criticism of the labour party for opposing every attempt to sort it, I wonder what is in Labour's policies that she thinks will appease her constituents.
