I’m surprised to find it seems that some members here think it’s okay for other members to threaten people on the forum with violence? So simple poll yes or no, what do you think?

No it isn't. ripping out and eating of hearts can only be carried out off these premises against defenceless crt staff. What have I missed I wonder.

Its a basic No No on forums in fact it probably is an offence if taken seriously.

I can't see the need to verbally attack and insult another because you disagree, but it's some individuals default setting.

Calling someone a twat is a bit different to suggesting meeting up and sorting out a disagreement in person.
This could be read the wrong way.
It is also unwise for a number of different rather obvious reasons.

This is what I feel about it as well. Having a verbal argument on the internet is “acceptable,” or enevitable if you post on the internet nowadays. But threatening a named individual that you know where they live and your going to come and “sort them out.” Steps completely over the bounds of decency and into criminal behaviour. There are laws to protect against such behaviour. It’s usually threats of a laughable nature, issued when the threatening party has lost any argument and feels stupid. But still it could really have negative effects on people of a nervous disposition. What surprised me was that other members seem to be condoning the behavior. So I’m just interested what the forum thinks.

I was thinking that the person making the threat was behaving unwisely.
At the end of the day one does not necessarily know who is at the other end.
For example I imagine not all that many people know that a forum member did 32 yars in clink for murdering several people with hammers.

After all, anyone who threatens someone via the forum is obviously just a keyboard warrior who would runaway in the real world. My own thoughts would be to ignore such threats.

I’m just interested in what the consensus of opinion on the forum is, hence the poll.

Vengeance is a dish best served cold as they say. So anyone who actually intends bodily harm to someone would be pretty stupid to declare it in advance on a public internet forum. I would therefore regard it simply as bluster from someone who is too stupid to think of any other sort of reposte. Probably dragged up on a council estate somewhere and never went to a proper school. Yes it reflects badly on the individual issuing the threats, but I don't think it is anything to get too excited about.

Your last three posts say more about you than me. (Are you in the closet maybe?) You’ve shown what your about by trying to deny the threats that you have already made. Yesterday you where trying to make out I had hid from you, when you turned up outside my boat? Or is that just your imagination like everything else?

There is only one member of the forum that I can recall who allegedly hides from another, although I doubt if that is because of the threat of violence!!
