Hmm, only watched 'Paris, Texas' thus far... Just checked the usual source and it's there, also the 287 min version... I have bookmarked it.
Also I have been experiencing dissatisfaction with fiction in general of late, maybe some alcohol would soften this perspective. I may adjourn till the summer when a few icy tequila-based cocktails will seem more appealing. Also I might review 'Paris, Texas' since I don't recall much of it. 😢
I watched 'The Man Who Fell to Earth' again the other day. The sex scene is the most erotic sequence ever. Apropos of nothing in particular.

I don't watch many films but it's amazing how the book 'Big Brother' could have predicted the future with such accuracy.

All of wim wenders films involve a chance meeting that puts everyone involved onto unexpected paths. I don’t know how he kept getting funding. I don’t think any of his films ever made much money. He must have been a scientologist or something. A surprisingly good film that I watched again recently was “the man from earth.” I’d thoroughly recommend this as well. I think it’s been remastered recently. I tend to watch films in winter as the idiot lantern is mind numbing. If you do watch until the end of the world, watch the full version. It’s a similar situation to blade runner, the studio massacred it for the cinema release because they didn’t understand it.

I believe that some of the Thunderati deliberately pose incendiary questions which have two broad aims; 1. To stimulate a bunch of predictable responses. 2. Most importantly, to push a rather nasty agenda in order to try and maintain the bulk of forum content as unpleasant sentiments concerning furriners. It appears to be a successful tactic; the Donald has forged his entire political career with it. YouTube is currently awash with Trumpists being interviewed with the most popular question being what they, the Trumpists, would like see happen immediately should the orange blob win the presidential election, and the answer is invariably to close the border with Mexico. There are a huge amount of ignorant half-wits in the USA. Surely it can't happen for a second time? Donald started slow on the last occasion. But now he's got experience. If The Donald gets in again the world is fucked, well even more than it is already. But the really sad thing is, it’s probably going to happen. I’m sure Putin and Ping are already directing a lot of online resources to making it happen. He idolises Putin in a really pathetic way. Anyway must try and keep my mind on more positive things. If the Democrats select Sleepy Joe as their candidate I'd say a Trump Presidency is a shoo-in.

It’s a sad state of affairs, these can’t be the most suitable candidates in the whole of the USA.

I genuinely think that what the Democrats are doing to Biden is elder abuse. There is no way he could pass an HGV medical because it wouldn't be considered safe for him to control an articulated lorry yet he's apparently fit to control the World's most powerful country?

It just shows how much of a puppet he is. The question is who is pulling the strings?

Sleepy Joe does have at least one powerful supporter...
"For us, who's better, Biden or Trump?" Russian TV correspondent Pavel Zarubin asked President Putin.
"Biden," Vladimir Putin replied in a flash. "He's more experienced, he's predictable, he's an old-style politician." There was more. The Kremlin leader defended President Biden's ability to do the job. "When I met Biden in Switzerland - true, it was a few years ago - some people were already saying that he was unable to function. I didn't see anything of the kind. "Yes, he looked down at his papers. To be honest, I did the same. It means nothing. And as for [Biden] bumping his head getting out of a helicopter on one occasion, well, who can say they've never bumped their head?"

TBH I've been aware of it for ages but dismissed it without bothering to look further...judged by the cover....anyway. I've just read a detailed synopsis and may not need to actually see it as a result. 😢 When 'K-PAX' was released I caught a bit of the discussion about it and it seemed a dumb premise for a film. But I watched it years later and liked it despite being familiar with the plot already. I found it to be quite cleverly done, perhaps even elegant, but that might be a bit OTT. The description for 'The Man From Earth' reminded me of it. I've always liked Kevin Spacey as an actor and was pleased to see he was acquitted of all allegations. I hope he manages to revive his career.

I just watched Jaws for the first time in about 30 yars because the girls mentioned they had watched it while we were by the city airport runway doing plane spotting.
It was an eye opener as I now realise that a lot of the design cues for Dulcinea will have come from that film.
Rather than being a nuclear war bunker I am now wondering if it was made to handle seriously large sharks.
It does seem plausible.
Although I can make up a story about anything instantly they say that one can count the number of available stories on one hand which has been denuded of fingers.
I may be missing something.

It’s much better than k-pax which is not a bad movie but a bit sentimental for me.
