I like scooters for the dry storage space they often have under the seat. And for the fact that they keep you a little drier in the rain, than does a proper motor bike. That's all though. Their little wheels and limited suspension make them horrible for cornering, they deliver a generally shaky, uncomfortable ride, and feel unsafe.
Currently renting a Yamaha 125 Lexi

I like scooters for the dry storage space they often have under the seat. And for the fact that they keep you a little drier in the rain, than does a proper motor bike. That's all though. There's also the fact that there's none of this "changing gear" nonsense. Just twist and go, Baby!

They just don't cut the mustard for touring any distance, or speed when you need it. Then there's the sound of a wasp in a bucket.

I can vouch for that. 50km from Kuta to Padang Bai on fast roads littered with dodgy trucks you really need to overtake, for your own safety. I'd have been much happier on my 400.
