I am bemused by this post, what does it matter if Angela is guilty or not, it doesn't absolve the venal tories from their misdeeds, though I suspect that's the agenda. Oh look someone killed a kitten, I can eat a baby alive, it's ok.

It matters because, amongst other things: Angela Rayner is amongst the first to call out others based on their apparent misdeeds. Often in highly vociferous tones. What applies to the goose applies to the gander. That's justice.

So she shouldn't point out the beam in the Tory eye then, because of the mote in her own? Perhaps ,if she wasn't so active pointing out Tory misdeeds she would have had time to manage her own affairs better. There's so much to point out though. She is having her affairs looked over, police found nothing to worry about. There may be other minor issues, they are being looked at too.
Whatever Tories are in their way out, many leaving to join Reform, others quitting ministerial posts before the end of their term so they can get their snout buried in the business trough sooner. I don't know what the waiting time from minister to special highly paid do fuck all advisor is, but some can't wait.

This is about a politician ever ready to criticise others for the slightest misdemeanor (party anyone?) who, on the face of things, has defrauded the state. The very state she apparently holds so dear.

They are losing, accept it, hush up, move on and vote for a left wing party like Plaid Cymru.

There are laws to stop some people being hateful towards others but the laws are unequal. This leaves vile people like Angela Rayner free to call people who don't share her personal political view 'scum'. She may be free to do this, but she isn't free to defraud the exchequer. If a vile person can't be brought down on one count, and there's another, it's right and proper that it's investigated. Fully investigated, leaving no stones unturned, in exactly the manner she demands herself, when the shoe is on the other foot.

I have no allegiance to any political party, but you do know she hasn’t been charged/convicted for any wrongdoing right?

A thorough investigation is needed. HMRC should carry this out, not the police. Ms. Rayner's vociferous accusations regarding the behaviour of others, on each occasion, related to things they had been accused of, rather than convicted of.

I’d guess that HMRC have already looked at the matter. As for being damned in the public arena, I’d take no notice of that. So many angry, judgemental people, aren’t there Ricco?

Personally I wouldn't consider someone who differed from me in any way to be 'scum'. If I did, and I was a mouthpiece for a political movement responsible for the introduction of laws to prevent such hatred, I certainly wouldn't say so much.

Look to your own actions before you criticise others. I haven't exhibited any hatred. Calling for someone to be judged in the same manner as they call for others to be judged isn't hatred. Calling a group of people you disagree with 'scum' however, is an excellent example of the exhibition of hatred.

I doubt that HMRC have looked anywhere near this yet. They move with the speed of a sloth, or maybe even slower with the WFH culture. If they have done anything, there would have been some whistleblower to advise the press one way or another. There are plenty of staff who pass on details to scammers about people who are due refunds so that they can become targets.
