Actually, for removal of any doubt I cannot be arsed with further arguments about I said, you said.
Are you back on the boat now or still gliding?
I believe you were booked into Liverpool next month, have you come up with an alternative route?
Boating is too pleasant a pastime to get into silly squabbles don't you agree?

have you come up with an alternative route? Well, Gargrave is out, as we're sat here waiting to pounce like funnel-web spiders. Also there is no water in the L&L between Burnley and Skipton.

Boating is too pleasant a pastime to get into silly squabbles don't you agree? Actually, I was just thinking what a vicious frenzy of bitterness and bitchiness boating revolves around. I like it. Anyone for smoked heron? It's a local delicacy here.

Yesterday we came through Preston Brook tunnel and moored in a quiet spot just south. Every boat that has passed us, has slowed down. The T&M of course is much shallower than the Bridgewater, so boats are travelling much slower anyway. I think, based on this, I've answered my own question. It's nothing to do with history, industrial use, or rules. They go fast on the Bridgewater because they can, and don't slow down because they can't be arsed to. I thank you Rog

I thank you Rog No it’s not that they “don’t slow down because they can’t be arsed to” it is that they don’t slow down because there is no need to. You seem to be going through a phase where anything that someone does slightly differently from you is done because they are bad, lazy selfish people. It is not a nice way of thinking. Get a grip and cool down.

We've rebooked for the start of Sept, but are in two minds whether to head north or not. We're supposed to be heading onto the Lancaster but wonder what the L&L & Rufford water levels will be like.Shame about the gin meet up as I'd bought a new t shirt especially,'Let the summer be-gin'(with a piccy of a G&T).

Water down the Rufford branch is always low in the first pound every morning, CRT normally flush more down early on. whilst levels are a bit lower than normal I cant see you having any issues going down to the Lancs. 🙂

Get a grip and cool down. Why do you read criticism into everything? It is a fact that boats travel faster, and don't slow passing moored boats. I was wondering if there were background reasons for this, but decided probably not. That's all really. Nothing to see, move along please. Rog

Rog When you say someone can’t be bothered to do something that you have said would be courteous, because they can’t be arsed, I would say that is a criticism in most people’s book. There are background reasons for it but you didn’t want to hear them.
