A ex-work colleague called me last night to tell me he is about to go through his third divorce - he is still under 45. ο»Ώππ
Has anyone on here been married / divorced etc more than once? If so, would you do it again?
Was the stress worth it?
Are you now broke / destitute or happy as a pig in shit?

Marriage is awful. My other half did ask me to marry her after about 5 years together and two children but I said no as when we first got together we agreed no marriage. Still together.
Its a pointless institution. Just tell the bloke not to get married. I suppose if he's done it before he will do it again. Some people never learn.

I've never been married even once. I've had a few longish term relationships which were marriage in all but name. I don't think I could be bothered with the effort and compromises needed to be in a relationship now.

Merde ! You mean it's optional!
I thought you had to marry.
Thirty nine years and now you tell me!

Strangely enough, scientists have discovered that wedding cake is a very effective cure for women with an over-active sex drive.

See, I'm the opposite of you, I think it's great, we are married 12 years, together 20. I've no regrets getting married. I may feel differently if it ever goes tits up! I have also beaten mouse marker of 9 years married by some margin Edited cos I've just had a punch for lopping 2 years off my total sentence

I saw the disappointment in her face, but my thoughts in the bedroom department got the better of me... Sheβs still good at making the bed... :-)

My hatred of marriage is a bit personal to be honest. As an impressionable 11/12 year old I experienced my parents' very unpleasant high conflict divorce. The fuckers stayed together longer than necessary just because they were married. If they had not been married it would have been so much more straightforward.
Cunts. Having children is enough to make you think about what to do. Doing some sort of bullshit paperwork ceremony is a waste of time and often a waste of money and serves nobody until the scum lawyers get onto it and bleed everyone .
Rant over !

I've been single for quite a while now and I've got to the point where I can't tolerate other people's shit.

Marriage isn't always beer and skittles though. I actually watch this every so often as it makes me laugh out loud.π
