It's also irrelevant. If you ignore the first result, why accept the next ... or best of three etc. etc. Our ONLY bargaining chip, or leverage, is a no deal exit, which would be in no one's best interests. Rog To be honest rog I think leaving with no deal and trading on wto rules is probably the best option at the moment.

It's simple enough, but Jim will refuse to understand because it's not what he wants. Its amazing how, when used together, the words 'simple' and 'Jim' just roll off the tongue. I've met Jim and in real life I would have to say he comes across as fairly normal and averagely intelligent (for that part of the world). I think the "Village Idiot" thing is just an internet persona. Presumably he sees himself in some type of competition with MJG for the "Thickest Clown in Yorkshire" award.

Good clip that, John - all snouts in the trough and licking Merkel's jackboot straps. All getting paid handsomely for just sitting there.

(snip). It seems to me all a second referendum will do is prolong the uncertainty and cause more division in the country. Better to just get on with it now. I don't believe that business will come to a standstill, corporations always find the way to keep making money. Only if the vote was for "Remain". If it was for Brexit (again!), that would show that the "will of the people" was settled on exit. Without a second vote, the country will remain divided anyway, with remainers claiming that the result was based on inaccurate information. (i.e. lies)

Remainers assuming and suggesting they are smarter, and are more worthy of being listened to. Utter bollocks really. The vote was there, people thought about it and made their minds up. Job done, no excuses or whining, time to leave with a WTO agreement.

I'm betting it was the migrants issue which was the straw that broke the camel's back. And yet they still come.

Abbott making a complete twat of herself on question time. Just watched it and I have to say that I think Fiona Bruce is doing a cracking job, much better than David Dimbleby. She has a way of gently, but firmly, controlling things and with a gentle little turn of phrase made Abbott (as just one example) look a complete prat as her false arguments were exposed and the audience loved it. People are sick of politicians waffling their party line with repetitive regurgitation of things we already know when what we really want is truthful answers. Roger

Although in my heart I would have liked to remain as a partner of Europe, it was and is becoming very clear how self serving its leadership are. We need to get out before we are dragged to the depths of those self serving greed ridden scum. I think the common market was essentially a pretty good idea, until the megalomaniacs started to slither their way in. It's time to get out.
I hate the idea of getting out under a conservative government, as I believe we as individuals will lose a lot of personal protection. After all, the conservatives are as bad, if not worse, than the European commission. Labour are well and truly fucked with Corbyn, and I believe unelectable whilst he leads them. The past few days-weeks have shown what a self centred idiot he can be, and consequently many have taken note. The opinion polls increasingly suggest the outcome of a general election would again see a conservative government. Labour need to take a look at themselves, the divide within their own party is as big an issue as the conservatives have, although labour does do a good job of silencing non believers. A bit like their lefty followers really.
Get rid of Corbyn and his commies,

Problem is I don't think anyone has shown themselves to be the right person to get us out of this We have no shining light in any party in this sea of gloom So I guess we'll continue to muddle as the pack shreds any deals put forward..

Yes they would welcome us back. If you actually believe that, then your crazier than I realised. Europe is heading for trouble, Germany is on the edge of a recession. France has got civil unrest, these are the two biggest contributors. Non sequitors, they don't want us to leave, simple. Just more than half of us are valuable allies.
