A warning from history perhaps? First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me. Nope thatโs not right. Firstly, it is the socialists and trade unionists who have got it in for the Jews (well those in the Labour Party anyway). And secondly once you have eliminated the socialists, trade unionists and Jews, there are still loads of people left, eg fascists, capitalists, conservatives, murderers, bigots, sandal wearing liberals etc. In fact nearly the entire population of Thunderboat. Very good ๐

Not me though! Not me either.... I don't want to fit in a group... I'm me....little bit of this n that mixed all together...

The most popular places to spot CRT staff. Twitter, Facebook, luxury car dealership, m&s luncheon voucher queue. The least likely place to spot CRT staff. Near or on the canal-towpath.

I see parry has quietly announced that CRT are making a small loss on income this year. Evidently he's managing to keep costs down, but staff car cash and luncheon vouchers will not suffer.

Never mind, there are always boaters to milk via increased licence fees.

introduce a 25% extra tariff for continuous cruising narrowboats as they take up too much length of moorings compared to the their liveable space

well if they reckon its unfair that a widebeam has more space on board for its length so should pay more ... I just reversed it. Narrowboats use up double the mooring space of a widebeam with the same space on board so they should pay more, they are using up valuable limited mooring space and travelling over much more of the waterways for less money .... it's not fair after all there is much more water than there is bank to moor against

Itโs great that TBers can think of ways to help the impoverished CRT... all at the boaters expense...๐
